As I sit here tonight in my fabulous library and gaze upon the splendour that is my TBR wall, I realize that the up/down reading slump I'm rollercoasting through at the moment is probably caused by an over abundance of riches! When I finish a book, I get anxiety about choosing the next to read, it takes me an hour of waffling about in front of my shelves before making a decision, then another hour to decide if I'm changing to another! #tbrfright
Laura317 Oh lord, I'm the same way! 8y
Bklover Oh, I do the same thing- so many to choose from!! 8y
emilyhaldi I agree, it's always a struggle!! 8y

TrishB I shouted to my daughter the other day what should I read next and she said 3rd pile in 4th one down!! And I did and it was great 😀 not sure I'd do this everytime but took out the dithering! 8y
asiriusreader I think for readers with long TBR lists, it's always a challenge! I'm with you! 8y
LauraBrook For me I both get anxiety about and enjoy the what-to-read-next dithering. After I've finally picked something (which almost always just right), I like having gone over and touched some of my books, reminding myself of the wonderful stories I still have ahead of me! 8y
Paula3 I do the same thing. I stand there, pick up a book, read the back (or inside dust jacket), caress the cover, read the 1st few pages...walk away...come back, replace the book and repeat with another. Lol. The struggle is real. 📚 8y
AmyG I have been known to "eenie, meenie, miney moe" in picking my next book. I hoard my tbr's in my closet. 8y
Zelma There is something to be said from too many choices and decision fatigue. But it's not the worst problem to have! 😆 8y
Wife When I finish my #LitsyAtoZ challenge, I'm putting all the titles of TBR books that I own into a jar. I will pull a title to pick my read. Some of my TBR keep getting passed over. I will also put "free choice" on a few slips. As I acquire new books, the titles will be added to the jar. 8y
readinginthedark I saw this idea on making a TBR jar where you draw one when you need to decide. I think the key is only putting titles in that you'd be willing to read anytime. 8y
Lizpixie @Wife @readinginthedark I have a TBR jar! It doesn't work for me because I'm such a mood reader, if the book I draw from the jar doesn't match my mood I can't read it, hence why my jar sits looking pretty on my shelf & I'm having #tbrfright 😳 8y
readinginthedark @Lizpixie Yeah, that's why I've never done it. There aren't many books I could read no matter my mood. 8y
