Only Human | Sylvain Neuvel

Hey guys! So I know it‘s been a while, and that I skipped a couple of posts, but I haven‘t had much time for Litsy recently so I decided to just make one final post to discuss Only Human and the whole series.
So for those of you who have finished it, did you like the way everything ended? Were you satisfied? Or do you still want to see more?

CaffeinatedFae I really loved the book. I liked the ending and honestly it was one of my favorites that I read/listened to. 7y

Only Human | Sylvain Neuvel

This last book in the trilogy had more of a political/moralizing feel to it and while I agree with the points made, it felt too much like the series turned lecture. Also, the characters were a bit melodramatic. I didn't think the format flowed quite as well and was disappointed because the first two books were so fantastic.

Wow, sorry I‘m so behind you guys! I started a new job the week before last and haven‘t been able to spend as much time on Litsy as usual.

So I think we‘re all at pretty different points in the book, but how are you all feeling? Has the narration on the audiobook improved any? Is anyone okay with the absence of certain characters who shall not be named (in the main post) to avoid spoilers? Because I‘m totally not.😭

Ingerella I have to be honest..I haven't started! I'm next up for the library hold so I'm hoping I get it any day and can jump in and catch up! 7y

Scott_BookInvasion Yeah I am missing certain characters, and I don‘t know how I feel about the new characters introduced. It feels quite strange but appropriate given the setting 7y

AmyG Still very curious how this all ends. I am finding the second section picking up a bit. I should just finish it in a sitting! 😆 7y

AmyG A little slow of a start for me. I am sure it will pick up. 7y

Eggbeater I've only read the first part so far. I have to agree with @AmyG and add that I crave more detail for this part than Lebedev is able to get out of them. She's no interviewer! 7y

Scott_BookInvasion I‘m almost all the way through it. And it does pick up here and there. Definitely a different feel than the others. Does anyone else hate the audio narration of Eva? Wtf is that about? 7y

GarthRanzz I‘ve not even gotten a chance to get through the first part yet, just a couple of chapters in. It hasn‘t caught me like the first two but that‘s probably because I have way too many distractions going on at the moment. I hope to catch up before the weekend! 7y

Dulcinella I finished it. I could not wait. I enjoyed all three books. However, I have a slightly unfulfilled feeling. Would have wanted to know more about some things.. 7y

Layali926 I loved the narrators in the three books, although Eva was my least favorite, maybe because she‘s such a rebellious teen and I have one at home😜 7y

The Humans: A Novel | Matt Haig

1. My dog, Lester is under that blanket. Not very interesting to look at but it was the 10th photo.
2. I'm reading the tagged book for book club, Buzz for the #LMPBC, and also should be reading Only Humans for the #themisreadalong.
3. I bought groceries at Target on Sunday, not sure which item would count.
4. Sausage and spinach Frittata...yum!
5. Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream icing, served cold from the fridge.
