This HF Caldecott award winner is about a boy named Hugo. He keeps all the clocks in the train station going while trying to fix a machine his father left behind. With the help of his friends he discovers something amazing. This book would be great for IR so that each student can really appreciate the amazing illustrations throughout the book. Juliemorell Wow this seems like a book kids would be interested in, especially as students in Florida. This would be a fun one to read during hurricane season, and it would educate kids about what hurricanes are/how they happen. Thanks for sharing! 7y

DrSpalding I too think this would be an interesting book for our students living in Florida and through hurricanes. There are many titles related to this topic. One of my favorites is by Gail Gibbons. Believe it or not this is not only a science topic but also, there are social studies standards that could be met utilizing this text. 7y
