Spent the morning organising my daughter's books. Have to say, we are HUGE Usborne fans in this house!

(I don't work for them!)

AutumnRLS My son is reading chapter books now, but he still keeps these lift the flap books in his room and will return to them over and over. 3y

Bought this one from the book fair at my daughter's school for a bargain price. It's another awesome release from Usborne with bold & bright illustrations as well as the all-important flaps which my 5 year old doesn't seem to be getting bored of yet! It talks about why we have feelings & how to deal with them - it even touches on the big subject of death in a sensitive & easy to grasp manner. For ages 4+. Highly recommended.

BiblioLitten Great recommendation! 💙 4y

My First Story Writing Book | Katie Daynes, Louie Stowell

Pickpick

Another absolutely brilliant book from Usborne! This one is just the best ever and my 5 year old loves it. There are lots of character and plot prompts and lots of space for budding authors to write down their ideas. My daughter needed help with the reading but was enthusiastic in putting her ideas down on paper to read back. It kept her entertained for hours & she got some writing practice in the 6 weeks summer holiday. #weloveusbornebooks

Oana7 I love Usborne books and this one looks amazing.. Can you please send me some pictures from inside? 5y

1000 Things to Eat | Hannah Wood

I love (1) food and (2) buying awesome books for my daughter. Part of the 1000 Things series, this Usborne book satisfies on both points. It is a very simple premise - illustrations of food, ingredients & dishes with their names underneath. It has sections such as Breakfast, Store Cupboard, Street Food, Greek/Indian/Chinese/Italian Food and loads more. I absolutely love it & can't wait to share it with my girl. #weloveusbornebooks

TheAromaofBooks Gosh I love Usborne books! When I was a kid, Mom would always come home with a few new ones from the home educators' convention, and they were always our favorites! 5y
readingjedi @TheAromaofBooks They are a fabulous publisher, every book is such high quality. 5y
TheAromaofBooks I think it's how colorful and engaging they are. I soak up information much better when it's accompanied by tons of photos and illustrations!! 5y

Peep Inside a Castle | Anna Milbourne
post image

Gosh, these books were some of my best buys. My daughter loved them from about 18 months and they still get looked at now at nearly 5! Her favourite is the castle one especially the page where you 'dress' the knight in his armour. My favourite is the night time one as one of the flaps reveals a mother with a crying baby, awake in the wee small hours! #weloveusbornebooks

zsuzsanna_reads Great recommendation - I've got a 12 month old daughter! 5y
mrsmarch I have the nighttime one. River was terrified of going to sleep at night so I was trying everything to help her get comfortable. 5y

I love Usborne books - especially when they're free! Cashed in my Waterstones points to get this for my daughter (she's after the weather & climate one next!) This one covers Early Britain, the Middle Ages, Tudor/Georgian/Victorian times as well as WWII. There are flaps aplenty, bright detailed illustrations & lots of information & interesting facts to discover & learn. Such a great book! #usbornebooks #weloveusbornebooks

This book is awesome! It has SO many flaps to lift and so much interesting stuff to discover. My 4 year old loved it. There are pages on the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, the Thames, the West End and loads of the other famous landmarks & visitor attractions in our capital city. Another high quality release from Usborne.

Mdargusch Sounds wonderful! You need this @Reviewsbylola 5y
Reviewsbylola I bought this for the girls when we were in London. 😂 It‘s very cool! @mdarg 5y
AutumnRLS I love the look inside series. My 5 year old does too. Sometimes when we go gramma's he insists on packing an entire tote of them. :) I don't have London though. Will have to keep an eye out. He loves the space and the castles ones the best. 5y

Usborne Illustrated Fairy Tales | Sarah Courtauld, Rosie Dickins
post image
Pickpick

This is a gorgeously illustrated volume! It has a good mix of the most well known fairy tales (Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty) and some lesser known ones (The Dragon Painter, The Emperor and the Nightingale). My daughter is captivated by the version of Beauty and the Beast which is closer to the Gabrielle de Villeneuve original than the Disney version. Perfect for reading together, this would make a lovely gift for ages 3 up. #weloveusbornebooks

JennyM We are an usborne family too! 😄 6y
Anna40 Thanks for posting it! Funny I thought about buying my son a collection of fairytales, appropraite for his age 4, but didn't know which one. Well, usborne it is :) 6y

More of my girl's birthday book haul. She's a sucker for Lift the Flap books - I find it hilarious how the answer underneath is a 'surprise' to her no matter how many times she's been read it!
