Jingle All the Way: A Novel | Debbie Macomber

Mehso-so

This is my third Macomber & I'm not sure why she‘s so popular. The writing isn‘t great, it‘s adequate I guess. The characters are ok. I liked Asher more than Everly. It‘s a quick read with some amusing parts, mostly with Asher. I've collected a lot of the author's books, including a bunch of the Cedar Cove series since I enjoyed the tv series, so I‘ll keep reading her, and hopefully will enjoy some of her other books more than this one.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

This book is pretty cute so far! It's predictable but maybe it'll surprise me. 🥰

Pickpick

Everly achieves her dream of leaving farm life for a busy life in Chicago running an online real estate agency. When Everly is sent on an unexpected Amazon Explorer Cruise in Brazil she is forced to reevaluate her life. She manages a media-free nightmare vacation with the help of Asher Adams the cruise naturist. She slowly makes the best of her break from the craziness of the city. A story about family traditions, love and new beginnings.

Missed one more piece of #bookmail in my previous post! Another mystery arrival from a publisher but it sounds great and THAT COVER is absolutely gorgeous. Those gold tears are shiny IRL 😍

I‘ve never heard of this book, but it came up in my #kindledeals today, and it looks like it might be a possible candidate for #nunlit

jlhammar Oh my gosh, I hadn't heard of this one yet! Sounds great. Might throw this one in the mix for our 2024 #NunLitQuarterly voting (in late Oct/early Nov) if others in the group haven't read it by then. Thank you! 2y

I read this last weekend hoping it would get me into the romance vibes. It absolutely did not. I love me some spice but somehow all the sexy scene descriptions just made me uncomfortable. It would start strong then a weird sentence would throw off the whole vibe. Also, I felt no chemistry between the characters. Yeah, every single touch was “electrifying”, but that‘s lust not chemistry. Really should have DNF‘d this one.
