I loved this book! It has everything - intrigue, casseroles, Baptists, sweating pastors, bankrupt rakes, a box of bones, sushi pjs, and Batman. Enjoy!

Great book. It kept me on edge throughout. The various points of view heightened the mystery. And I loved the historic references about the English witch trials. Those gave the book a certain depth the modern stories couldn't do.

I tried this as my new daily affirmation phrase but apparently it came across more "weirdo" than empowering. ??? Loved this book!

I loved this entire series. Reading Greg Iles makes me want to take a drive to Natchez and visit the ruins of Windsor - Mississippi's Stonehenge.

This book kept me guessing until the end. I love the ones I can't guess in the first few chapters.

I liked this book but it wasn't one of those i couldn't put down. Its interesting how people live when they think they expect a windfall.

King wrote: There's a place in A Raisin in the Sun where a character cries out: "I want to fly! I want to touch the sun!" to which his wife replies, "First eat your eggs."

This is King's best advice to writers. You want to be a writer. Put together your tool box and be willing to work hard in perfecting your craft. In other words, "First eat your eggs." Advice that could be beneficial to anyone.

This book dragged on and on for me. I'm not going to spoil the plot but some details were not explained until part 2 of the book and I was confused most of part 1, thinking there was a breakdown in translation (Great Britain to Mississippi, you know 😂). I so hoped everything would have been explained in the end and I guess it was but the explanation was kind of meh.

Loved! Laugh out loud funny with the most endearing main character ever written. I will definitely read the sequel.

I loved this book! I felt like a glamorous traveler with society's most sophisticated and beautiful women and their court jester. Beautifully written and researched.

This beautiful language of this book made me feel like I was on the coast of France or marching through the snow with the German army. I enjoyed viewing the horrors of war and some personal kindnesses through the eyes of the many well-developed characters. This was on the same line as The Book Thief, another that I enjoyed thoroughly.

I was expecting something big from the buildup but was let down in the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tale of a print magazine editor and chief wading her way through the digital world. Loved the hilarious accounts of social media "over sharing" and a glance at how assertive can easily become bat sh*t crazy. Love!

I'm listening to this on audio. Love the narrator's over-the-top English accent. Seems like a fun read so far.

This book was so refreshing, especially after my last dark, weepy read. Full of fabulous Southerisms that are so quotable!

"And on the eighth day, God created ranch dressing."????. Just started this one. Fun summer read to counteract the effects of Me Before You.

Although I thought Lou was super annoying most of the time, I loved the character of Will. The plot was pretty obvious from the beginning but the beautiful language drew me in until the very end. I haven't decided if I will read the sequel. I like imagining what happened next.

I'm getting to the end of this book, and I already know it is going to rip my heart out.
