This is the 1st book of KL Slater that I've read and I am a huge fan already. The book has everything that a reader looks for when reading a psychological thriller. A must read - 5/5 for me.

Carey Mulligan has once again performed at top level. She has surely shown a new way of performing for audiobooks. Also, hats off to the writer and the director for such a brilliant craft.
It's an audiobook that you should not miss listening to.

The Right Time | Danielle Steel

Danielle Steel knows how to play with relationships and emotions. The story started off brilliantly but gradually started to lose its touch. Seemed repetitive in a few areas.
Over all it was a fine read, nothing out of the world, not deeply articulated.

Before I Go to Sleep | Steven J. Watson

The characters were very few in the 1st place which didn't create much of depth in the novel. But keeping in mind that its Watson's debut, its worth going through.
The story is exceptionally intriguing which makes you keep going and it's a definite page-turner!

Cuckoos Calling | J K Rowling
Mehso-so

It was an okay read with too much of unnecessary detail given.
The protagonist, Mr. Strike did not really made an impression to be remembered forever, like other famous fiction detectives, due to which I didn't really enjoy the way he was trying to solve the mystery.
The thing that was unsettling for me while finishing this book was the ambiguity that was found in the killer's motivation. One has to have a solid reason for killing.

My expectations with this book were not very high before starting it, thanks to the reviews on Goodreads.com.
The book was more of a 'daily diary' of the protagonist with no interesting inciting incident to it. The protagonist's continuous whinning about her job duties was quite annoying.
Being a debut book, it's an average effort also is a progressive step for Pakistani writers.

"In the end, my friend, we are all prisoners of our own destiny."
-Omar Shahid Hamid (The Prisoner)

The Prisoner is one of the best novels that I've read. It is more of based on true events that have happened in our country in last two decades.

The author has showed true colours of Pakistani political scenarios and mind-sets.

Every chapter beholds a surpise for the reader.

This book has a great subtextual value. In my opinion, Murakami has given a reason for the fact that libraries are not "the spot to be" in today's world.

The Girl on the Train is surely a page-turner, and a good one. It has a very contemporary/modern feel to it which makes a reader comfortable relating to the story.

I really like the way the story has unfolded in each chapter. Paula Hawkins did a great job breaking-down the events of the story with a very original style. 5/5 work for the debut.

P.S: The best thing about this novel is that it's not a drag.
