so-soI wanted to love this one, but it ended up falling kind of flat for me. I appreciated that it showed a different side of rape and unplanned pregnancy, but I just was not that engrossed with the story. I also found the exorbitant use of unusual character names to be distracting.
pickIntriguing, clever, metaphorical, dubious, and mysterious. Fans of Lemony Snicket's other works will love it. In true Lemony Snicket fashion I now have more questions than answers, and in true Lemony Snicket fashion I doubt any of those questions will be answered. Regardless, I'll keep reading!
