Mehso-so

I had high expectations for this book and was let down. While the storyline was very intriguing and modern, the execution was somewhat poor. Too many perspectives to keep up with was an issue for me. While I love when authors write from various perspectives, this style took away from the book quite a bit. The story was also dragged out and character actions became too predictable.

The Help | Kathryn Stockett

"All saying is, kindness don't have no boundaries."
-Kathryn Stockett, The Help

I absolutely adored every word of this book, but this sentences stood out the most to me. There is kindness in everyone, yet some are weary to show it. No matter what goes on in our world, don't stop believing that kindness is still out there. It is all around us, even tho we may not see it everyday.

One of the best books I've ever read. It left me with a heavy, yet light heart. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

The most heartbreaking memoir you will ever read. There were times when I had a hard time reading what this amazing survivor went through. The actions of her foster mother is jaw-dropping and you will find yourself thinking, "what in the world...?! Who does that?! How can a woman be so evil?!" This memoir will tug at your heart strings and keep you gripped until you find out how the author finds her inner strength to keep moving forward.

I had to read this novel for an English course I took in university. The first few chapters were quite slow, but I'm so glad I kept on with it. This novel moved me in such a way that it is now one of my all time favorite novels! How the author portrays the main character as such a martyr is absolutely fantastic!! I highly recommend this book; just make sure to not give up during the first few chapters!

Was a bit disappointed with this book after reading Me Talk Pretty One Day, which was absolutely hilarious.
