I throughly enjoyed this fictionalized love story based on real people. Daisy Goodwin does a wonderful job including the reader in the emotions of the characters.

This series is fun, but I have to wait a longer time between reading books because I find the recap writing very annoying.

This is what I consider a classic ghost story. It gave me goosebumps.

This is one of the rare series that is equally good from the first book to the last.

The problem with this book is that the main character is quite annoying. I may read this series of books if they are not written from his perspective.

This is a new series from the author of The Grisha Trilogy. It is set in the same world a few years later. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more about these characters.

This was a satisfying end to the Grisha Trilogy.

This was the second book in The Diviners series. It may have been a bit longer than necessary but it kept me turning the page. It was not as suspenseful and eerie as the first but it was a compelling read.

At first, I was a little annoyed with the Flapper dialect that was used. After I acclimated to the language,I found this book hard to put down. It was eerie, suspenseful, and left me wanting more.

KS1805 Have you read her other books? I listened to A Great and Terrible Beauty and didn't like it. I wondered how this compared, if you have read others? 8y
Chippywoman1 I haven't read any others. I was really wanting to be super critical of the writing. She seemed to drop every 1920s reference. I found myself fact checking on one or more occasions. When I let that go I started to enjoy the story. 8y
Chippywoman1 I don't know why I wanted to be critical, something just really bothered me at first. Sometimes an author just hits it out of the ballpark. Stephen King, for me is one that I only line a couple of his books. The rest I have a hard time getting through. 8y
KS1805 Good to know, maybe I'll give her another chance. 8y

I have always enjoyed this author's writing style and storytelling. This book is not the exception, however I was not crazy about the lead character and Ithe ending felt rushed.

As a someone that came of age in the 80s, this book really took me back. I think it really did a great job capturing that feeling of first love. ❤️

This is the third in the Lunar Chronicles series. It has been a couple of years since I read the first two in the series. It didn't take me long to remember why I wanted to continue to read these books. If you like fairy tales and sci-fi you may want to try this series.
