I picked this book up during a visit to Kennedy Space Center, and I am upset that more people don‘t know about this story. A must-read for anyone interested in the early space program!

I listened to this on a long eight hour drive by myself (the book itself was 7.5 hours). A bit confusing at times, but kept me interested for the full ride!
I think Ronson has written better books, but admittedly the topic itself is a reason to add this to your library.
I really wanted to like this book, but honestly the author is so biased against Mormonism as a whole and it comes through in the writing (like victim-blaming Elizabeth Smart at one point). Even if you‘re not a fan of the Church, those little comments and embellishments sour the whole story, which is shame because it is interesting (and terrifying).
Between Leah Remini‘s show and the HBO documentary, it would be easy to assume that one would now know everything they need to know about the religion/cult/corporation that is Scientology. And then you read the harrowing story of Paulette Cooper. A must read for any PTSs or SPs out there! Needs to be made into a movie!
