I enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would. It's not the best work of art ever, but it is well written in the sense that it engages the reader in a crescendo until the very last page.

I read The Interestings some time last year and I loved it. This is another five-star book. Meg Wolitzer is a new favourite.

It was a brilliant idea of to have the boy narrating the story, but a lot would have been gained if the narrator had switched to an adult after they came out.

I did not enjoy this book quite as much as I expected. So many people loved it and I just couldn't see the point.

This was the second book I read this year that was lent to me by one of my students. I really loved the way it describes how these kids feel. A great book.
