I Survived the Nazi Invasion, 1944 by Lauren Tarshis is a Historical Fiction book about Max and his Sister Zena who try to survive and not being taken by the Nazis like their father did. This book is great to learn about the holocaust and introduce Hitler's Nazi troops. This Novel can be introduced to Students from middle school as a read aloud due to the audio tape. Where is the Great Barrier Reef? By Nico Medina is a Nonfiction book based on the discovery of the Great Barrier Reef. Each chapter has information on when it was discovered, describing a coral, and the animals that can be find in that location. Who Was Dr Seuss by Janet B Pascal. This book is a Biography about Theodor Seuss Geisel and the struggles he faced in his early years on becoming a cartoonist. Ted was a determined man who at first didn't know what he wanted, but soon figured out that drawing weird animals and people was his main focus in the future. Ira Sleeps Over by Bernard Waber is a Realistic Fiction book. It's about young girl named Ira who debated back and forth whether or not to bring her stuffed animal to a sleepover. I would use this book for grade levels k-3 as a read aloud to the students in the classroom.

Fahrenheit 451 By Ray Bradbury is a Science Fiction Novel about a town of fireman who instead of putting out fires they set off fires by burning books. Books are being burnt in this futuristic society because they were offending people by their minorities. Montag faces some tough decisions by hiding some of the books he has stolen from previous fires in his home and realizing that books have more meaning to them then they assume. #UCFWalterslit

Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak is a Fiction based book about a young kid named Max who would always cause mischief of one kind. Kids enjoy Max going through the forest and being apart of The Wild Things but later on in the book he realizes that being apart of that world can become lonely and returns home. Wonder by R.J. Palacio is a Realistic Fiction based book about a young boy named August Pullman who was born with a facial difference. Throughout the book, R.J shows the struggles Auggie faces in the beginning to the end of the book and how the characters change towards Auggie's appearance. August is a bright kid who needed a little push by his parents knowing it's okay to be different. This book is very emotional and outstanding. #UCFWalterslit

El Deafo by Cece Bell, is a Graphic Novel about a young girl named Cece who gets diagnose with Meningitis which causes her deafness. Trying to fit in, Cece struggles with her appearance due to her hearing box and try's to find a friend who will treat her like a normal kid. I enjoyed this book a lot and it made me realize to never judge a book by its cover. #UCFwalterslit
