A little light reading for my Saturday afternoon. I'm fairly riveted by this book.

Seriously though, some of the best lines were given to Reepicheep in Voyage of the Dawn Treader!

A quote from St. Bernard of Clairvaux from my current read.

This was a really interesting book; as well as a, dare I say, fascinating look into tragedy, and how it affects people.
Even now, I still love Prince Caspian (the book). That is all!
Decided to make The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder my first book of the year.
Just finished rereading one of my all-time favorite books, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis!
Every December, I love diving back into the world of Narnia. Sure, I've read it a thousand time (not ready but close enough), yet each time I read it it hits me in a different way. I guess you could say that this book isn't done teaching me yet!

This book is determined to give me ' feelings '!
#amreading #middlegrade
A really fascinating book about the Middle Ages!

It may have taken me over a month, but I have finally finished my reread of Sabriel by Garth Nix!
I remembered like nothing, so it was almost like reading it for the first time. I really enjoyed the world building and seeing Sabriel grow into her duty!
Currently reading this incredible book! It's so good that I'm seriously considering staying up (later than I should) just to finish it!

With Halloween coming up, I think it is the perfect time to finally read Dark Goddess by Sarwat Chadda. It has been sitting on my #TBR for far too long! #allhallowsread @Litsy
Forgot how much I enjoy Bram Stoker's Dracula! The audio book is incredible; the narrators have definitely captured the dark, creepiness of the book!

Well, it had some really good points... but it also had some really boring, information dumping points, too. Did not care for the narration. Half the time he sounded bored with the story.
Very long audio book!
Fr. Lance W. Harlow's Echo of God is an incredible commentary on St. Louis de Montfort's True Devotion. if you've struggled with understanding True Devotion, this book will be enlightening as it clearly discusses in an easy to understand way what True Devotion to Jesus through Mary means.
note: this book is not listed here on Litsy.
It sounded like a good choice, but... this book is just not hooking my attention at ALL!! Sad to say this, but I'm getting out now and not investing any more of my limited time reading something that isn't pulling me in.
It started out slow but in the end The Courage Test blew me away because, well, history and a father and son reconnecting.
While it had its good and not so good moments, it was a really enjoyable read.
What house and patronus did you get?
here's one if my favorite quotes from Harry Potter, too!
We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are.
J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
I'm really enjoying Echo of God, which is based upon St. Louis de Montfort's True Devotion to Mary. It's a shame I cannot find it on here to add it to my list.
I'm actually preparing with Echo of God, by Fr. Lance Harlow, for my third read of True Devotion later this year.
Just finished listening to Oedipus the King. The narration was haunting and so, so GOOD!
Closing in on the end of Heartless!! It's been slow going due to time constraints, but I have been loving so much about this book!!
