A new Christmas novel for me to be getting my head into 🎅🏻💫🤍🎁.
All Together for Christmas is a warm, feel-good festive novel that follows the ups and downs of the Balfour family as they head home for the holidays but this Christmas isn‘t quite the picture-perfect reunion everyone expects.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
The story‘s strength lies in its warm seasonal atmosphere and easy pacing. The romance develops quickly, as expected in a short format, but Baxter manages to give the characters enough personality to keep their relationship engaging. Because it‘s a short story, the plot and emotional depth are necessarily limited, however it succeeds at what it aims to do: provide a sweet romantic holiday escape that can be enjoyed in one sitting 🌟✨🌟✨

Yesterday, I had a nice walk around Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden ⛲️⛪️🧣🧤🌁. Which is located in North Yorkshire, England, just outside the city of Ripon.
I enjoyed walking through medieval monastic life, Tudor political upheaval and Georgian landscape art.
“Once built for prayer, later framed for beauty - now held by time.” 🌲🍂✨

The Pumpkin Spice Café is a sweet, low-drama autumn romance that feels like slipping into a comfy sweater. Esme‘s fresh start and Cal‘s grumpy but golden vibe makes for a charming, easy read. It‘s predictable in the best way it‘s warm, cozy, and perfect if you‘re craving small-town fall vibes without any heavy emotional turbulence.
The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore is on my TBR from this collection ?

This book makes a great read when you‘re trying to get your worries under control. I am a born worrier who tends to snowball drastically through catastrophizing things.
It mixes humour with practical advice beautifully. It makes managing anxiety feel a little less intimidating. I still have days where I snowball but hopefully slowly but surely I‘ll get better at calming the F**k down 🤍
How do you manage your anxiety?

The first one of the series… I would say this book is addictive in the sense that once you‘ve finished one chapter, you want to quickly get through the next one. The book overall leans heavy on drama, obsession, and emotional tension ❄️🩵

“Change the way you think, feel, speak and act and you begin to change your world.” 🌎
One of my favourite quotes - life can be tough. It‘s easy to forget how far you‘ve come. To see change you have to be willing to take the bad days head on. This book will always be one I keep going back to.
(Sorry for the spam - I have recently discovered this app and I want to share my favourite books/quotes 🤍)
“I‘m starting to wonder if this is what being in love is. Being okay with ripping yourself to shreds, so the other person can stay whole.” 💔

I‘ve just wrapped up The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. OH MY GOSH I didn‘t expect to feel so deeply for a for a grumpy professor and a sunshine in denial PhD student… ✨
It‘s witty and nerdy 🤓 I would definitely recommend if you love a contemporary romance ❤️🔥

“Words define us, they explain us, and on occasion they serve to control us or isolate us. But what happens when words that are spoken are not recorded? What effect does that have on the speaker of those words?”

This book took me a while to get into, but once I got into it I couldn‘t put it down. This book focuses not only on language but it also touches base with the themes of feminism, identity, memory and the quiet power of the unheard.
What really stands out is how tender the book feels. Williams writes with a gentle precision that makes even the smallest moments feel meaningful.
“Feeling guilty for past mistakes and behaviours does nothing for you or the people you harmed, unless you change your behaviour.” 💞
“You are the love of your own life.” 💌
“Life is too short to not love the shit out of yourself.” 🪩

Women Don‘t Owe You Pretty is a fantastic, phenomenal, straight to the point book that perfectly calls out the system and expectations that shape women, and how they see themselves today.
Given pushes the boundaries and the idea of people pleasing, and body image to dating habits and setting boundaries.I love how punchy and fiercely feminist this book is.

“Maybe if I let all the secrets out, they wouldn‘t make me feel like drowning anymore.”
“Not every mistake deserves a consequence. Sometimes the only thing it deserves is forgiveness.”
“My emotions are everywhere.”

Another one from the collection of Colleen Hoover‘s fantastic books! Without Merit dives deeply into the chaos, secrets, and quiet hurts tucked inside a complicated family. Hoover does a fantastic job conveying what Merits life is like, through the way she blends the sharp humour with heavy emotion.
The story explores themes of mental health, love in unexpected forms, and the way the truth can crack everything open before it can heal.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ugly Love is an emotional roller coaster and another phenomenal book written by Colleen Hoover. It captures the messy, addictive side of love. Colleen Hoover balanced heartbreak and hope with her signature intensity, giving her readers a story that is raw, passionate, and hard to put down. It‘s a quick read, but still lingers especially if you‘re a fan of romance that doesn‘t shy away from the painful parts on the way to healing ❤️🩹.

“It‘s the beautiful moments like this that make up for the ugly love.”
“There were moments I didn‘t care if I ever hurt again because being with you almost felt worth the pain.”
“Sometimes not speaking says more than all the words in the world.”

“If in the future… if by some miracle you ever find yourself in the position to fall in love again… fall in love with me. He presses his lips against my forehead. You‘re still my favourite person, Lily. Always will be.”
“Life is a funny thing. We only get so many years to live it, so we have to do everything we can to make sure those years are as full as they can be.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It Ends With Us is a beautifully crafted novel that depicts what true love feels like. Colleen Hoover has crafted a fantastic story that‘s tender, raw and deeply human.
What sets this book apart from other novels written by Colleen Hoover is the way Hoover layers the romance with the themes of strength, trauma, and the complicated ties that shape us.
