So I‘m not completely sure how I feel about this one. I felt like the whole book was slow and dragged out for what seemed like a predictable ending. Maybe I‘m comparing it too much to The Court series. It was great story telling but I felt myself wanting more than what I was reading. Like I wanted each page to give more than what it gave. So for now it‘s a so so.. going to start the second book in hopes for more.

AkashaVampie I have heard that this book is more just for the world building and very slow. I believe they get better. 2y
Jennaferr That makes sense. And I hope so because I bought the entire series 😂 2y
Jennaferr Oooh I see, well I hope it does because I bought the entire series and I‘m committed lol 2y

So much pain and healing and tears (my own). This could easily be a stopping book, it‘ll be interesting to see where the next ones goes.

Ahh the second in the series!! So the first book I liked and wasn‘t so sure why. The second book SHOWED ME WHY. It was so well written and truly shows the bond between soul mates. “To the people who look at the stars and wish—— to the stars who listen and the dreams that are answered”

Okay so overall the plot seemed weak and kind of rushed towards the end, like it was wrapped up quick compared to other parts of the story. BUT there were really great moments and some great imagery. I enjoyed the read but when I look back it seems there were some inconsistencies. I‘m still going to read the whole series 😂

Towards the end you can guess what happens. I read reviews before reading this book saying this booked invoked a really emotional response in readers. I however didn‘t feel that attached to the characters and reading this book didn‘t send me to the grave in emotions. It‘s not a bad read but it‘s also not at the top of my list either.

Wow. Just wow. This book, like the first, is such an easy read. I‘d say it‘s better than the first honestly. It‘s was very easy to pick up and get lost in the adventure (it‘s currently 1 am as I‘m finishing the book). It‘s action packed until the end and I think the author does a good job of wrapping everything up and possibly leaving room for another book.

Great book! Super easy read, although it was a little predictable at times. The characters stay true to themselves throughout the book. Definitely going to read the sequel!

The book, for me, started around pg. 100 and got really good around 250. There is little dialogue. It is very descriptive. I think it would make a good dramatic movie or tv show. (Oops after a quick google search, it is indeed a short tv series) I think I would prefer to watch this rather than read it.

nannermc12 Thank you! Everyone loves this book and I really could not. All the characters were unlikable to me. She has a great book call All the Things I never Told You. 4y
Jennaferr Yes!! There was so much backstory to what seemed like a short story at the end of the book! Drove me absolutely crazy! 4y
rachelk Yeah, I didn‘t think the story really got going until somewhere around the halfway point. 4y

Hands down one of the best Rom-Com books I have ever read! I swear you can feel the emotion each character feels as you read over every word written by Sally Thorne. From the gut-wrenching hate to the sweet tenderness of love and affection this book has it all. This book has made me cry and laugh out loud. Read it. Seriously.

In the moment when I truly understand my enemy, understand him well enough to defeat him, then in that very moment I also love him. I think it‘s impossible to really understand somebody, what they want, what they believe, and not love them they way they love themselves.

Jennaferr When I read this, ugh!! My heart fell out of my ass. The understanding and comprehension is astounding. It‘s a good thing Card kept writing in Enders age because my head kept wanting to make Ender older than he was to justify his comprehension of emotions and human relations. 4y
