Last night I attended a panel discussion on the desegregation of public libraries in the south. It was very interesting and I really enjoyed it. When it was over, they gave everyone two free books! I can't wait to read them 😊

I finished this book this afternoon. I really enjoyed it! It was a unique story that really made me think about some things. I'm definitely interested in reading more by this author.
I've been wanting to read this for quite awhile, but my small town library doesn't have it, and I'm trying so hard not to buy any brand new books until I've read a bunch of my very many unread books. Today I found it at Goodwill for 79 cents! I just love book shopping at Goodwill and thrift stores! Anyone else? Is anyone reading this now?
My cat just loves to lay on my books 😻#CatsofLitsy
I absolutely loved hearing Warren Zanes speak about writing Petty: The Biography. It is one of the best biographies I've ever read! So much interesting information about one of my all time favorite artists. It was really cool meeting him and chatting with him for a few minutes too. He said he thinks he'd like to move here. That would be awesome!
It was such on honor to meet Anthony Ray Hinton and to hear him speak. He spent 30 years on Alabama's death row for crimes he did not commit. His story is a compelling example of how broken our justice system is and why we need to end the death penalty. Read his book, The Sun Does Shine. You won't regret it.
