Troubled Blood | Robert Galbraith

I am also listening to Troubled Blood right now on Audible. I enjoy this series a lot! Some may think they‘re hard to follow with the myriad of characters, but I just don‘t let myself get caught up in the details. I enjoy the ride and maybe try to guess who the perpetrator is, but I don‘t like to think too hard about it. I love The dynamics between Robin and Cormoran. What‘s your favourite thing about this series?

Just started this book because all I‘ve heard is excellent things about it! Will watch the movie only after reading!! Did you read the book or watch the movie first and what did you think?

Who has read this Hunger Games book and what did you think of it? I‘ve just started it and I‘m not sure what to think.

LibrarianRyan It was so so. it wasn't needed, and It didn't add anything to the series. 3y
Leilani Thanks! I think I will work on finishing it regardless. I hate not finishing a book! Haha 3y
Victoriahoperose I talked about this with one of my friends who is also a big fan of the Hunger Games series and we both agreed that this book would have been so much better if it was from Haymitch‘s perspective or about Haymitch. He was such a great character and another book dedicated to him in the beginning would have been fun, in my opinion. Hope you enjoy it more than I did 😊 3y
Leilani Thanks! Aw man that‘s such a great idea! Too bad! We‘ll see how it goes 🤪 3y
Leilani I thought it was ok too. Not great but interesting to see things from Snow‘s perspective but it was difficult to get through 3y

Cuckoo's Calling | Robert Galbraith

I‘m definitely on a JK Rowling kick right now. Just listened to A Casual Vacancy on audio book and it was mediocre. I‘m currently reading the Harry Potter Series out loud to my baby in the womb. Now I‘m listening to The Cuckoo‘s Calling which is the first book in JK‘s mystery series written under her pen name Robert Galbraith. I am actually enjoying this book and the mystery and the characters she‘s created. Have you read this series?

Leilani Ok I tried to add a photo and for some reason it wouldn‘t let me. Help! 5y
Leilani Oh I did it. Apparently you HAVE to edit it for it to work 5y
julesG I love the Strike series. Just as much as Harry Potter. 5y

Leilani Thanks for your help! Oh good I‘m glad I‘m in for some great books! 5y
julesG Well, then we don't need to tag the Litsy gurus. I'll delete the comm9 5y
Coleen I just recently made my way through the Cormoran Strike series. If you liked the first book, you‘re in for a treat. I think they keep getting better and better! (edited) 5y
TimSpalding We good? 5y
Kimberlone I enjoyed the whole series, although the third is my least favorite. The British series is also really good! 5y
Leilani @TimSpalding yes thank you! 5y
Leilani @Coleen oh yay! I didn‘t know there was a second series! 5y
Leilani @Kimberlone cool! Looking forward to it! 5y
Coleen Sorry, I didn‘t mean 2nd series....I meant the rest of this one. I also watched the TV adaptations. Good, but not as good as the books (of course). There‘s so much left out of the film versions. 5y
Leilani Aw yes of course! Hmm I should check out the British series! Thanks 5y
kgriffith Yeah, it‘s just that you have to pass through the editing screen even if you don‘t actually do anything to the image 😊 I enjoyed this one, the second was okay, and the third was probably the last I‘ll read/listen to; they‘re longer than they need to be, and violence against women as plot device is something I try to avoid. 5y
CrowCAH Just finished; enjoyed it! 5y
Leilani @CrowCAH sweet! Still working on it 5y

Did anyone enjoy this book? I didn‘t hate it but was a little disappointed by it. I just listened to it on audible.

So I‘ve seen the movie... should I read the book? I‘m having a hard time getting myself to read books that I‘ve already seen the movies for. The other way around is way easier. What do you think?

julesG Yes. Read it. It's funny, it is slightly different from the film. The audiobook is also good, I just wish Matt Damon had narrated it. 5y
Leilani Yeah that would be cool! I love audiobooks 5y
