Great story, incredible twists! I could not put this book down and I finished it in a matter of hours. My one wish was that the ending could‘ve been a smidge longer

Kate Alice Marshall never disappoints. Loved this twisting mystery that left me guessing with every page.

WOW! All I can say is that I love this series!! I‘m excited to see what the Envy adult series is like.

Y‘all. The spice level is easily the highest in the Scoville scale. Daddy? Sorry. Daddy? Oops, sorry I mean Wrath.

Definitely would say Book 2 is more adult than YA. If your child is 17+ and you‘re comfortable with them reading about sexual intimacy then I‘d recommend it as a YA otherwise this is full on adult.

I loved all of this. Finished it in about a day and a half. Excited to continue the series… that damn Wrath pulled me in.

I know my students will really enjoy this book, it had quite a few great twists; however more advanced students will likely find it lackluster.

3.75/5 stars. Reading it with my students and it‘s been a hit but some chapters are a little bland.

Genuinely a timeless tale of love, loss, and the hardship of the working man.

I actually really enjoyed this book. The connection between Peyote and the Harrison‘s was a great twist.

I enjoyed the story but I felt like there was a lot of build up for a quick ending

2/5 ⭐️ for me. I really struggled to feel connected to the characters. I liked the idea of following Gatsby with a modern edge but Ivy, Fern, Ash, and Tami were all really unlikable as characters. There was no glamorous draw like we got with the OG Gatsby.

5/5 ⭐️ for this Sager novel. I enjoyed the suspense built around the possibility of a coven to black market mayhem. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Bravo!

I enjoyed this story, but I wish it would‘ve focused more on the trial than just the MC‘s relationship. I think the storyline was great but the relationship aspect overshadowed what Kyle did. Really the only time Jamie is brought up is when the MC is talking about dating Charlie.

This book had so much potential but for me fell flat. Normally, I can devour a book in a day… these 337 pages took me around two weeks. Nothing really drew me in, I wasn‘t full interested in Anders or Piper enough to want to keep reading.

Sad to give this a “so-so” rating. Sager is currently my favorite author but I felt of all the Sager novels I‘ve read this was left me wanting more. It felt a little lackluster even though the twist was great. I didn‘t care for the “movie” approach either.

Book 3/3 in the summer series. A great wrap up on the relationships developed between Belly, Jeremiah, and Conrad. However, the book left me wanting a little more of Belly grown up. The glimpses were great - perhaps the new tv series will give us some more of the third book.

The second summer book in the Trilogy and Han has done it again. My heart is a whirlwind of feeling like I‘m 17. Many teary eyed moments and a great story that deals with grief. Excited to start the third and final books. I haven‘t read these since I was in HS, now I remember why I loved them so much.

So-so for the adult crowd but absolutely a pick for the student crowd. I think everyone would benefit from reading this and The Hate U Give.

“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor” - Desmond Tutu

I know I‘m tardy to the party on reading All American Boys by Jason Reynolds but it was a fantastic quick read and provides an eye opening experience for students of all backgrounds. It especially teaches the great lesson of using our voices to fight back against injustice around the world.

If I‘m being honest this books is about a 3.5/5 for me as a reader. I enjoyed the different voices through the book as we switched between Kat and Meg; however, the story had a slow start. I felt like I wasn‘t truly pulled in until about page 150-160 which leaves the last 126 pages to be a fun whirlwind but I would‘ve loved to have that pacing occur sooner.

Wonderful coming of age story centered around WWII and various concentration camps. This is a well developed and engaging story that will hook reluctant readers. If you are a teacher, add this to your library. Students will love it.

Slasher films are so 1980. Slasher books however, now that is the mood for 2022. I finished this book in a day! The pacing was perfect, the suspense was there, and you never knew who you could trust. Loved this!
