2nd book in the series did not disappoint! Emilia learns more about Wrath, the Kingdom, her twin & herself in this installment. Some steamy scenes, less emotional than the 1st book but it dialed up the mystery of the curse.

I read this book so quickly! I‘m loving being in this world and seeing all the brothers. I really like Emilia but so much is being thrown at her, it‘s exhausting. This is the 2nd book in the trilogy. I already read the 3rd one, so I don‘t remember specifically what happened in this one and the next one.
I can‘t wait for the new book at the end of October!
This series has surprised me. It just keeps getting better. While I‘ll admit some areas of the plot are a bit murky, the action and mystery kept me engaged. I love the characters. I can relate to Emilia in that all she wanted was to be at home cooking and reading. Girl same. 😂
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was such an interesting challenge I had to include my “map” I read this book in 12 different places and it was so interesting to try to find a new one each time. I also struggled with not going to the bathroom or getting a drink or even Turning on a light when it got Dark. Or else I‘d have to find a new spot! Lol #bookspin #bookspinbingo #doublespinbingo
Not going to lie, the shift from YA in book 1 to smutty New Adult in book 2 is a little jarring…
I am really enjoying this series! Pleasantly unexpected plot twists keep me on my toes. I am so excited that there's another book in this trilogy. The audiobook does not disappoint! Highly recommend
Better than the first book. My only complaint is the process of plot development is lacking. It gives the reader teaser information, then picks us up and drops us off at the plot twist. It doesn‘t allow the audience to piece everything together and figure it out in a way that is so perfectly satisfying. It leaves a lot to be missed. The concept/plot is fantastic though and character exploration has been phenomenal. And. Ya know. Smut 🥵🔥⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First book of March and I‘m one book ahead of my month to month reading goals! I‘m excited to start the second book to this series because the first one had some pretty decent set up. It has a lot of potential if the follow through is good, and I am so ready to dive head first and fall in love with a new universe. High hopes for this one !
Ok lol I‘m mad at the ending but I‘m glad I read this after the release of the last book because that ending killed me.
Y‘all. The spice level is easily the highest in the Scoville scale. Daddy? Sorry. Daddy? Oops, sorry I mean Wrath.
Definitely would say Book 2 is more adult than YA. If your child is 17+ and you‘re comfortable with them reading about sexual intimacy then I‘d recommend it as a YA otherwise this is full on adult.
These books are excellent! I am going to have to buy the third tomorrow to find out what happens next. A series hasn't grabbed me like this in ages.
So im trutly enjoying this triology. I cant wait till the third book is ready for me. I absolutely love wrath but i must admit emilia was getting on my nerves for most of the book. The twist at the end how ever i was not expecting. I hope i get book 3 very soon because i need ti know how it ends⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"I wanted to kiss him. Possibly break a bottle and stab him first. But then definitely kiss him."
Why do i feel this way too. Lol..i love him and hate him all at once?
This book was a so-so read for me. It felt like it had more sexual content in it than a romance novel. I did like the plot of the book. I enjoyed the first book better. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.
Really, this is trash. I don't know why I can't stop reading this series. Also, it has really heteronormative views on what the definition of "IS" is.
Anyway, so if you like trash, it's really quite addictive. I had to give it 4 stars and get the next book to my shame.?
This sequel is even better than the first book! Definitely a lot of mixed reviews but I loved it and I love the direction Maniscalco is taking the series. I can‘t wait for book 3 in September! 😁
⭐️3.6
An intriguing world that Maniscalco has builded, many secrets & the previous books questions were answered, intimate romance. Even though I feel like it could have presented the book more accurately? connecting some storylines together would be a better fit to the book.

“I will not appear weak for you to”
A spicy romance with an intriguing protagonist with a revenge plot?
I liked that there was much more romance (and it was a little spicier!). I also liked the plot continuation, but I did find the pacing to be a little slow at times. Wrath. The definition of swoon worthy. I did absolutely love the lush gothic descriptions in this book, and I loved the world building.I'm looking forward to reading the final book this October since I'm beginning to enjoy this series more.
I couldn‘t pick the second book up quick enough, after the ending of book 1 I needed to know what was gonna happen next. I managed to read this one in 2 days and I‘m quite proud of myself for that accomplishment.
With things now heating up between the two main characters, it seems to be a game of give and take till they get what they truely desire

For my #weekendreading I‘m starting with Kingdom of the Cursed and then hoping to finish Winter‘s Orbit! ❤️
I have a lot of books I‘d love to read coming up but definitely those two!
@Andrew65
I am not sure how to review this book. The world Manoscalo created is intriguing, but I felt like she really missed the mark. The promoted storyline is not what the storyline was. The author is also trying into the new adult spiciness that overtakes the genre and she negates the actual plot to play around with spice.

Kingdom of the Cursed- Kerri Maniscalco
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I liked the first one a lot more. There were just too many plot holes, too much of Emilia jumping to conclusions, and too many times getting lost because something was edited out that shouldn‘t have been. I hope the next one is better about that. The author also promised spice and stars above did she deliver. Wouldn‘t have minded that pared down a bit for essential stuff that was lost, but c‘est la vie. 3.5/5

Finally finished this up today! I enjoyed it. I don‘t think some will like it but for me it was what I wanted. Glad I was able to finish before the new year! #bookspinbingo
1st official day of Christmas Break and there is no better way to spend it. Curled up with my cats, a book and actually being able to enjoy hot coffee (as opposed to room temperature)...the simple things 😍☕📖🐱
12-4-21: My 122nd finished book of 2021! Book 2 of the Kingdom of the Wicked series. Searching for answers into the death of her twin sister, Emilia, follows one of the princes of Hell, Wrath, into the underworld. Opulent settings, attractive princes of the 7 deadly sins, and Emilia who is a witch trying to use her powers to stay alive and one step ahead of all who get in her way. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👍🏼📖#️⃣1️⃣2️⃣2️⃣
Oh my god! It‘s almost like this book was written by a different writer than the first one. “Kingdom of the Wicked” had me doubting if I wanted to keep reading the series, but I‘m SO glad I continued! This book was so much fun. The characters grew so much, and we got so much insight into Wrath. I can‘t wait for the next in the series.
Wow this was a big let down from the first book, Emilia's character was completely different from the first book, there really wasn't anything likeable about her, and Wraths whole premise about Emilia having choice was undone in Chapter 17
PAUSED @ 42% On one hand: the writing was solid, the background building was decent & the premise was interesting. BUT: the pacing was erratic, the characters were trite & vapid & the ping-ponging tension wasn't as sensual as I imagine the author was aiming for. It was more of a headache inducing, sexually impotent annoyance. I thought Wrath and Emilia's sexual tension was hot in the last book but now it's just a boring, travesty of tropey clichés
This book was perfection….. until the last 2 pages. Now I‘m just dying slowly until the third one.
Fun fact about me: green things and I don't mix. It has to be crazy hard to kill in order for it to survive me.
That being said, a few months back I murdered my herb garden and put it out for body disposal. By the time I got around to it things were growing. Today I moved them inside to pot before frost hits. I'm sure now that I put hands on them death is coming but are there any Green Thumb Littens that have any idea what these are? 🤣
YAY! My preorder goodies for Kingdom of the Cursed arrived! Included is a pin, an art card, and a signature to go in the book! 😍
Dark, fun, magical and not too much romance.
Kerri Maniscalco is becoming one of my favourite authors.
I love her dark, victorian setting and her badass girls
Book 12 of October reading. Y‘all I tried to read this one slowly but yeah…that didn‘t work out so well. Book 2 in the series and it was so freaking good. I can‘t wait for book 3 which is unfortunate as this one just came out. Witches and the seven deadly sins. So good.

I have today off as the library is closed for Native American Day. South Dakota has been celebrating it instead of Columbus Day since 1990.
So excited to start this! I have been waiting soooo long (ok not THAT long, but it feels that way)! #kingdomofthewicked #kingdomofthecursed #kerrimaniscalco #spooky #october #freight
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This series: A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Now I have to wait til the next book is published and I'm hanging onto this cliff by a pinky, Kerri Maniscalco! 🥺🤣
