Can't believe it's taken me so long to get around to reading this! What a great debut novel from @k.j.chapman.

I enjoyed all the relationships and connections. The pace and revelations really picked up in the final 20%, leading to a satisfying ending! If you like your romance with a heavy dose of action, then this is for you! Looking forward to the next one :)

aprocrastinatingreader The next two are just as good 😃 7y

Omg, this book made me cry! Then I cried again. And then the end?! Gahhhhhhhh! It was everything.

Having read the broken dolls series (which I loved), and therefore probably having a preconception, this story was nothing that I thought it would be. It was so much more.

If you want all the feeeeels, you need to read this.

OK, so I might have said that Queen of Shadows was the best book in the series, but it turns out I was wrong. THIS is the best book! I'm totally in love with the characters and their relationships. Didn't want this one to end...

BEST BOOK OF THE SERIES (so far!), just gets better and better. This world is really coming to life now & the stories weaving within are incredible. I think some of my favourite chapters were those concerning Manon and her Thirteen. And, well now - I liked Dorian, and I liked Chaol a little more, but they didn't quite 'do it' for me in any major way. Rowan tho? Mmhmm... Consider me done. I'm in awe of the worlds & characters created by S.J Maas.

Well, Sarah J. Mass is firmly rooting herself as one of my favourite authors! Once again I found myself engrossed in Celaena's story, intrigued by this world of magic and war, and frequently pausing to ponder the greatness of aspects in the storytelling. Admittedly, as with book two, I found it a little slow at times, but it really kicked off in the second half and has again left me eager for more.

"The killing calm... Even he had never realised just how calm she could get when she went over the edge. If they wanted Adarlan's Assassin, they'd get her. And Wyrd help them when she arrived."

Ooh, Celaena's journey continues, and it's goooood! I found this book a little slow to get going, but once it did, I couldn't put it down. Loving the developing relationships and revelations... High hopes for book three!

Elisa I think this was my fave of the series! 7y
NicolaRose @Elisa it was great! I just finished Heir of Fire, but Crown of Midnight was better! 7y

Ooooooooh! Book two in the Phoebe Harkness series was so good!! Fantastic world-building, and I love all the characters. The plot continued to surprise me, gradually opening up to a bigger picture. I can't wait for book three. Tell me it's coming soon?!

You guys! This book was SO good!! The opening chapter was brilliant - hooked me right in - and kept me that way right through. I found it surprisingly refreshing to read a vampire story where romance wasn't the central theme. Phoebe Harkness is witty, strong and extremely likeable. Fast moving plot, and fantastic world-building. Very impressed, I'm excited to read more from this author.

So in love with this series! A gripping tale of love, magic, villains, action... wonderful characters set amongst an original and intriguing world. Once again I find myself sad to leave a fantasy world that has consumed me, but the ending was so perfect and satisfying that I can't complain! Looking forward to more VE Schwab books now...

Wow. Wow. Wow. This book is amazing! Unlike anything else I've read, I became totally absorbed in this world of magic. Flawless world building, unique characters, action and adventure, and a plot that came together seamlessly, but without me ever really knowing where it would go next. Thank goodness there are another two books in the series, I need more! Brilliant!

Honestly, halfway through this book I started to get a bit bored. It seemed like it was all a bit predictable. But then at 88% my heart was actually ripped from my chest and it came out of nowhere. Then it did it again, and again. Emotional wreck!! Given the amazing reviews for the rest of the series, and how much it hooked me in the end, I'm excited to read the others...

Omfg! This book is DARK. It's brutal, distressing, sickening, suspenseful... and somewhere amongst that shit, there's romance too. As for the ending?! Gahhhhhh!!

Brilliantly written. What a crazy journey we are taken on. I couldn't put this book down and devoured it in one day. And I need more. Thank goodness another two books in the series are already released!

The final installment in the Grisha trilogy turned out to be a very satisfying read. The Darkling really makes this series. There's still a part of me that wishes his story had gone a different way, but it's given me a lot to think about on writing villains and their relationships. The story was peppered with wit and humour (largely thanks to Nikolai), with a good twist and a great ending that gave me all the feels! Bit sad to leave this world...

Elisa I absolutely know what you mean, I miss the Darkling and wish that too, even though I do love the ending overall! 7y

I really enjoyed this second book in the Grisha trilogy. Perhaps a little more could have happened, and I do really wish the Darkling made more appearances, since he's the best character ... But overall it still had me hooked and I'm moving straight into book three...

A quick and enjoyable fantasy read. I really enjoyed this book. Alina isn't an instant heroine and has to work hard to find her place. Good characters and development. The Darkling steals the show.. Seductive and dangerous... Keeps us rethinking what he's really all about. I'm excited to read book two.

Wow. Wow. Wow. This book owned me!

There are lots of books out there about the 'alpha-billionaire-badboy-asshole' and the poor girl who falls under his spell - in need of his money, and his love. I tried one of these books a while ago and it did nothing for me. But boy, does LJ Shen know how to do it right. I couldn't pick any faults. Vicious is a dick, but one that you are totally left swooning for!

Gahh my heart! I have ALL THE FEELS!

After all the hype, I really wanted to love this book, but I'm afraid I was underwhelmed. Tensley was pretty hot, but not enough to hook me, and I didn't really like Molly. I love a good on/off...Will they/won't they... But I didn't really like the way it was done here, it felt a bit too repetitive.
It wasn't a bad book, it was a quick read and enjoyable.. It just didn't sweep me off my feet...

Another brilliant read from @BeverleyLeeAuthor. I thoroughly enjoyed following Gabe on this new journey in his life, seeing him grow and find his place. And, you know... vampires! I love vampires!

Once again we are drawn into the ticking countdown of something epic - tension building, twists turning, sweeping us along this path towards the dramatic conclusion. Great stuff!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. The rising tension was present from the start, but it really kicked in at the midpoint and didn't let up for a moment, right through to the climax (and a great ending that I didn't see coming). I'm glad I hadn't read the reviews first, because there was one thing that came as a total, brilliant surprise. I've not read a horror book for a long time, but I'm diving straight into book 2!

There were parts to this book that I really didn't like, for instance how blind Anna was to the real Devlin, and how her friends apparently did nothing about her situation. It's a dark story, but I did find myself wanting to read more. I'll probably read the next one... At some point
