The Book Thief | Markus Zusak

I hate not having a photo to go with my reviews but whatever, this book was so incredible that I don't want to wait to have all of my books back to take one. What a heart-wrenching novel that all. It destroyed me in the end, I still remember crying silently on the city bus home at midnight when I finished it. Please, PLEASE pick up this book, it'll change your life! ❤

I realize it's a library book but that doesn't make it any less good. A cute twist on the classic fairy-tales we grew up with, it's the first book in the series about two girls, descendants of the Brothers Grimm, and their adventures in the world of Everafters - all of their favourite story heroes coming to life. It's a cute little read, with interesting plot twists, and I can't wait to take out book two! 💕

Good Lord, did this book have me in tears. But Jay Asher was right; I couldn't put the book down, I had to tear through it like a maniac. The complex characters, the depth of the plot lines, from cover to cover this novel had me questioning life choices and thinking about things I never expected to wonder about, and I loved every second of it. 💕

Darkwater was an incredible book, I had such a hard time putting it down! With interesting characters, an incredible plot about a girl's struggle with family pride, and all from the same writer that gave us Incarceron, it's definitely a book I would recommend to any fantasy lovers. 💕

For a YA novel full of cliches, it actually put it together in a way that didn't seem so irritating. A novel about a young girl becoming a werewolf, the main plot line was focused on her and her transition from human to werewolf, with the romance plot just a passing thought in the background. A little slow to start, but definitely a novel that took me in and made me feel like one of the pack. I can't wait to find and read the sequel. 💕

I'm not usually a fan of fairy-tale remakes, or retellings, mostly because they're either poorly done or too full of cliche romance, but Cinder changed the game completely. It was a perfectly balanced remake with a badass twist of Cinderella, and I honestly couldn't be happier. I don't remember the last time I tore through a series so quickly or so eagerly, everyone needs to read this book. 💕

One of the cutest little slice-of-life stories I've ever had the pleasure of reading. The theme of breaking through society's standard of beauty hit a little closer to home than I thought it would, but instead of deterring me from reading through, it actually empowered me to keep reading; I just couldn't put it down! If you're looking for a book that touches on sensitive topics and executes them flawlessly, this is the book for you. 💕

This book (this whole series, actually) is my absolute favourite. Not only did it feed my obsession of fantasy literature, it also introduced me to a theme I haven't experienced in fiction before: main characters dying. It made me more attached to the characters and their mortality, and I found i was just way more absorbed into the pages than usual. 10/10 would always read again. 💕

omgreading I am in love with this entire series. I was hanging onto every word. And I always love books with multiple povs. (edited) 8y
NorthernDuchess Multiple PoV's are some of my favourites. Even following the complex plot lines were an incredible experience. 8y
