Something fun to supplement the #happilyeverafterswap and I have retellings for most of these on my in real life shelves. My eyes may be bigger than my reading time- but I do not have any classes beyond internship and exams so I will low key add this to my activities. #fairytalereadingchallenge

Chrissyreadit @BethM right? Even if I just read the Fairy tale- except The Little Mermaid. I have never recovered from that story and cry just thinking about it. 3y

It's been a few years since I left off this series with book 5, but it all came back to me with this one. It's not my favorite of the series, but it was still tons of fun. Who can resist the Mad Hatter as a judge? 🤪

I think it‘s interesting (and good for kids to see) that this story has to do with two girls in the foster care system. It brings to light that those children do exist around us, and probably will be in my classroom. They want to relate to things too.

This fantasy story is a series! It‘s about two sisters, named Daphne and Sabrina who go through a series of foster homes together. The service worker for them doesn‘t seem to care too much about the girls or where they end up. Eventually the girls find themselves surrounded by elements of a fairytale.

1. I am the firstborn! Woo hoo! To my mom at least.
2. Yeah. I wish I had more younger siblings.
3. A brother, and then two half-sisters and a half-brother on my dad‘s side that are 10+ years older than I am. They live in Germany.
4. The Sisters Grimm or the Baudelaires
5. Yeah. @PathfinderNicole and I are both firstborn and apparently both have complicated extended family.

I realize it's a library book but that doesn't make it any less good. A cute twist on the classic fairy-tales we grew up with, it's the first book in the series about two girls, descendants of the Brothers Grimm, and their adventures in the world of Everafters - all of their favourite story heroes coming to life. It's a cute little read, with interesting plot twists, and I can't wait to take out book two! 💕

#feistyfeb #mostreread I absolutely love this middle grade fantasy book series. I've read the first three upwards of 10 times and the last 6 three times over. It follows the adventures of Sabrina and Daphne Grimm, sisters whose parents mysteriously disappear one day. They are sent to live with their grandmother. She says they are descended from the brothers Grimm and that fairy tales and their characters are real and living hidden among humans. 👇

Brie Each book has its own mystery plot the girls solve, but there is an overarching plot involving their missing parents. Lots of family drama and magical mischief ensues. 7y
RealLifeReading Sounds fun! I've not heard of this series before. 7y
Brie @RealLifeReading Yeah, I find that a lot of people don't know about it. It's not very recent, so maybe that's why. 7y
kspenmoll Have not heard of this series either & you are making want to read them😍📚 7y

This is next up in the tbr with my daughter list. Right now we are reading Little House in the Big Woods by Wilder.

JulieAnn My 10 year old loves the Sisters Grimm series. They are her favorite. She rereads them all the time. 8y
Peddler410 @JulieAnn Let your daughter know the books are being released with new covers for the 10th anniversary. The author is rewriting them to eliminate grammatical issues and discrepancies with details. Not sure when 8y
JulieAnn @Peddler410 Thanks! She will be excited! 8y
