A huge thank you to @thenovl newsletter for this gorgeous and amazing debut read by @brandycolbert This is easily a 5 star read for me. I love how diverse, emotional and REAL this story is. It also hit so close to home. It's not often I find a ya novel taking on the topic of a mental illness so well. It was amazing to read a book where the parents are loving and kind and yet so very human, the relationship between Little and Lionel is incredible.

Flashback to my first R.S. Grey read. I love this book! It was darker than I expected but ended on a note of such hope, such promise. It's amazing to see two people struggle with a similar loss and how they each handle it in their own way, That maybe we aren't as alone or separate as we think we are in our grief. An excellent NA Contemporary read!

This is such a fun and interesting read.It is so much more than the bright yellow cover suggests. Hawthorn Creely is no ordinary teenage girl.She has a very unique view of the world around her. She isn't afraid to say what everyone else is thinking. We have all been there at one time or another. As readers, we have all been that person who still believes in the magic & wonder of the world. This was not at all what I expected &I absolutely love it.

I love this story so much! If you have not picked up a copy of Daughter of the Pirate King by @tricialevenseller then you must do so! This book was such an amazing adventure! I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was fast paced, the characters are amazing, and the world building is beautifully done. I need to know more about Lightspire and what happens to my precious babies.
