About to finish my reread of Next Year in Havana and I‘m so excited to start this one next! Can‘t wait to hear Beatriz‘s story. Thank you to @BerkleyPub for gifting me this ARC!

I was really looking forward to this book but it didn't quite work for me. Had it had more politics/political intrigue and less sexual tension/relationship drama, I would have liked it a lot more. It had a lot of potential though so I'll probably continue with the series and hope the next one is significantly better.

For today's #mapmonday, I picked Middle Earth! I still need to actually finish reading the books but I loved all the movies. If you've read them, which book is your favorite?

This sequel was everything I'd hoped for and more. I adored how both Audrey Rose and Mr. Cresswell developed as characters (and their relationship). The atmosphere was beautifully dark and creepy (don't read before bed). The mystery was very well done and kept me engrossed until the very last page.
