This book took me awhile to get through. One was finding a good translation, ended up with Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition. This book is massive and I broke it up by reading other books. It was good. I enjoyed the mix of history and story. I wasn‘t sure if I would like it since Moby Dick is similar and I couldn‘t finish that one. (I tried many times) Takes place during Napoleon‘s invasion of Russia.

So I liked this book. It wasn't one that I loved. What I took away from this book is that grief does crazy things to our brains. Especially if help is not sought to work through what has been done. I can see why so many people are upset with this book, but I see more then just the plot twist that upset everyone. This book is about a daughter and a mother to me.

I can't even find the words to say how much I loved this book. I laughed so hard. I was scared for the narrator and was sad with him. It was a great read!

I enjoyed this book immensely. I don't know much about the Jewish culture, but I loved the folklore this story used. I will be picking up another book about the Jewish culture.

I wanted to read this book purely on the cover. It looked like a fairy tale and to an extent it was. The book was quick to read and the narrative kept you guessing what really happened. I would say it's a book about coming of age and finding peace in who you are.

Mommamanzi I'm still trying to figure it all out. I really didn't love the ending though. But I LOVE the cover haha. 8y

I recommend this book to the fullest. It is a book that deals with four women coming to terms with terrible things that were done to them. The subject is hard, but I loved the story none the less. It's about a mother and her three daughters. With a grand daughter thrown in for an added punch to the heart. Please read this book.

Not a bad book. It wasn't everything I was expecting from a Sherlock Holmes spin off. I would have liked more from Charlotte Holmes, instead of splitting it between narrators. I will read the next book to see how this series develops at least.

This is a heart wrenching collection to read at times. It was a great read though. The last poems building up the reader was a fantastic touch. The author sharing her story in in this way was very emotional.

I absolutely loved this poem collection. The combination of bad and good things was done perfectly. It was balanced so there was no shock to the system when things turned sour. I highly recommend this collection of poems.

The beginning of this book drove me slightly mad. After the half way point it was better. Hessa are young and they finally were giving an opportunity to figure themselves out. I was very happy with the ending they got. It made the journey though the book more bearable.

I stumbled upon this book in a blog and decided to give it a try. It was an excellent choice! This book is different from what I usually read. The use of Japanese old stories and lifestyles was great. I will be reading the other three books as soon as possible.

This was an excellent squeal! I loved the Night Court characters so much and the High Lord is the perfect man. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale and this is a great retelling.

I very much enjoyed reading about this founding father and seeing how he contributed to some lasting parts of our government. He was quite a character and made lasting impressions with everyone he came in contact with.

I still need to read part two, but the first half always has me laughing and smiling. Don Quixote is a character worth getting to know.
