I was in the mood for a werewolf story.
this is my first patricia briggs novel and I enjoyed it. the world she made was interesting. I'll definitely check out the rest of the series and most probably the mercy thompson books too. 😁

I didn't notice there was a face behind the briars. I used to think I don't like this cover art.

As I read, I am reminded of a friends's impression after visiting what used to be a concentration camp. even after all these years there was a heavy feel to the place. it didn't help that it was raining at that time. the pictures she took of the place were already depressing, but she said the pictures didn't do it justice.
yey! my officemate finally returned this book.
found it a booksale a while ago but I've been hesitant in reading it when I read the blurb. I learned it touch what happened to the Jews during WW2.
And I've always shied away from books that have depressing themes. I know that I shouldn't do that.
there's a reason I've loved reading romances.
I started the book (I didn't have hobb's book at the time) and it seems a hopeful story. we'll see..
I've read this several times. watched the ghibli adaptation.
now listening to it's audiobook.
I am back!!!
Went on sort of a reading hiatus because i was on an anime binge. And I had to watch the series again of course.
Decided to start on a Robin Hobb series. i have never not liked her books, so i thought her books are a safe bet in getting back into reading.
meh.
maybe i was expecting too much?
but like the her other book about heroes, this book also showed the unglamorous side of being a paranormal. it is actually interesting. but i sort of breezed through it with no interest on the next books.
hopefully next time?

the story itself was fun but james marsters definitely brought it to life. 😁
Availed the #Audible free 30day trial!📑 🎧
I loved #JamesMarsters reading Jim Butcher's #DresdenFiles. So i got curious with this series. And I am quite happy and content with my choice (my other choice was Hiddles' High Rise)
