#ReadAway2024 This book of short stories is about different types of vampires and the way they honor their birthdays. Often anthologies are uneven in quality, but I don‘t believe this one was at all uneven. Each story was worth listening to and enjoyable. Recommended.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

1. Harry Dresden - I love these books. My BIL recommended them to me. Who doesn't love some fantasy mixed with their mysteries.
2. Mikael Blomkvist - I first read the original 3 when they first came out. I haven't read the newer ones yet, but they are sitting on my shelf.
3. Eddie Flynn - I was introduced to this series with Th1rt3en and I was hooked.

dabbe 3 I haven't heard of but have added to my TBR! Thanks for playing! ❤️💜🩷 5mo

Fool Moon | Jim Butcher

I have had an itch for an occult detective story lately. Book 2 in the Dresden Files finds Harry investigating a series of gruesome murders that are committed around a full moon. With some great action set pieces, witty banter & werewolf mythology this was largely a satisfying read. The juvenile reoccurring male gaze comments were grating; a defect that I have heard Butcher improves upon as the series progresses.

KathyWheeler The juvenile comments do improve but they‘re still occasionally annoying. I love this series, but I hate that aspect of it. 5mo
vivastory @KathyWheeler I'm glad to hear that. They were pretty prominent in this one. 5mo
andreadmw The juvenile comments get better but I do wish Butcher included more diversity. I love his books but I‘d like to see him write a female lead, include more diverse characters and have other relationships. 5mo
KathyWheeler @andreadmw I completely agree with you on this. 5mo

@PuddleJumper ##roll100 for February

I'm aiming to get to the tagged, but January didn't really happen, so who knows? 😂

PuddleJumper I really enjoy this series. I'm still ignoring the latest book 🤣 I don't want it to end 6mo

I am woefully behind on reviews so I am catching up! This was another great installment in the #DresdenFiles #Series! Some long-awaited character development happened, which I appreciated. Definitely reading the next one!
