Honestly, making this book a pick because it‘s so interesting to see Fitzgerald‘s notes and writing process. I‘ve learned a lot from it and got the beautiful prose in the process.

This was an interesting YA thriller, and Lockhart is skilled in subtly crafting a character‘s psyche. No one was particularly likable in this book but they didn‘t need to be. I thought the ending was anticlimactic, and I was never super pulled in until halfway through. Overall, a decent read, but not Lockhart‘s best.
This book does the psychological development of its characters SO well. Although I think the writing is sometimes a little overworked, I‘m starting to really get where the hype comes from
Excited to start this one! Stiefvater is so excellent #allthecrookedsaints
I‘d give this about a 3.5/5. The pacing was good, I was definitely interested the whole time and finished this quickly. It‘s an easy read, nothing too complicated, but that also became a negative. I felt that the voices were often interchangeable, the plot felt a little predictable, and the worldbuilding/characterization was lacking. Fun, but I‘m not dying to pick up the next book in the series.
You know how some people have Happy Shows/Movies that they watch just because they make you feel good? That's me and this book. It's just so incredibly fun all the way through.
Excited to start this for the #litsybookclub ! Picked it up from the library today (along with a Palahniuk, since I was in the O-P section)
I'm a few days late for the 20th anniversary of the book series that influenced me in ways that I truly didn't realize literature could. But there's never a bad time to pop on the movie soundtrack and revisit Hogwarts, especially since these illustrations are to die for. Shout out to my cat in the background. #yerawizardharry #imawot
Overall, I really enjoyed this. I love Zusak's writing style, and I thought it was a really honest look at the world. Kind of rough, kind of indecent, kind of beautiful. The ending was a bit too meta for me and I didn't care that much for Ed's relationship with Audrey. Considering she was such a driving force for him, it lowers my rating a bit. But other than that, I truly enjoyed this one. 3.5/5 stars
I was initially going to focus on a phrase but nothing Zusak ever writes should be blurred tbh
Quick read that dealt with serious issues in a wry, honest way. Even more touching when you think about Vizzini himself
I devoured it. It was everything (everything) everyone promised it'd be.
Everyone can do with a little wisdom from the father of Yennenga, warrior princess of early 12th century Burkina Faso/Ghana and badass mom.
"To see beauty in the world and say it is ugly; to get up in the morning and do what you cannot do; and to give free rein to your dreams, because those who dream too much become victims of their dreams."
I'M SO STOKED IT CAME! Merry Christmas to me, time to learn about some badass women
Finally reading this gem after ages of it being on my TBR
This book is everything you didn't know you needed and more.
I'm so not a sci fi person but this has gotten such rave reviews I needed to try it out. Glad I did, it lived up to the hype!
Finished it in two days and immediately started the sequel. Overall I really enjoyed AFD. A page turner with great twists. Perfect summer read.
Fancy covers are my favorite covers
You know you're reading a YA novel when.... #ItWasntEvenARomanticScene
I wanted to love this book but ultimately I felt it dragged and I found myself skimming the Simon Snow excerpts after a while.
Currently reading The Scorpio Races. I am Stiefvater trash ever since TRC.
(Also I'm not sure who made this aesthetic collage, if it's yours feel free to mention!)
