So much info in these, that shines a light on so many things in the main series! Also a great tale on their own, so they can be read before Dreaming Death. A great wrap up to the end of this mini-trilogy. Now the wait for the second Dreaming book begins!

Love this one so much (this is a re-read). Lovely story of first contact and friendship. The starting place is a little similar to SGU, but I loved that too, so that's a bonus for me.

Nothing like going back to an author's earlier works to underline the progress they've made skillwise. This early book was fun, still enjoyed it (on a reread) but there's a few tiny wobbles here that I haven't seen when reading her newest series. 📈 😊

Can't even pretend to not be biased, loved it like i've loved all the books! Did enjoy... several things i just realized I should'nt say here because they're too spoilery. 😶

Fun set of stories, frame does a good, fluid job of tying them together smoothly. Had to double-check the reference on the last one, because it was out of my personal time-frame (too new). It was also the one I found most disturbing, maybe because I hadn't seen the original, maybe just because it was last and I was reading late, while alone. Overall win though.

RaimeyGallant Check out the new LitsyTips hashtag we started today. Lots of gems. :) It's the first post on my page, and then if you click the hashtag itself, you can see everyone else's tips. :) 7y

This should have been so good. It had so much potential. All wasted on overly stilted and/or florid speech out of the mouths of wooden caricatures. I wanted an awesome dino story, and got badly overacted local theatre.

Skimmed through to see if it improved, but kept seeing the same type of stuff. DNF.

Just as good as the first book, I really like this series! Not a lot out there that'll give you the same feel as these!

Space music for a space book.

Tav If you enjoyed Seveneves, you might like Neal's new book too. Time travel! Witches! And science, really! 8y
