I read and write MG and YA. I enjoy all genres, but love books that show me something new.

I‘m a coffee drinker. Maybe not anymore after reading this book. I felt transported to a different world, even though the book takes place in my lifetime. The descriptions of tea tasting, and the history of the trees and the people who tend them were fascinating. The story was incredible too. 5 stars.

TheBookKeepers This sounds wonderful! Great review! 6y
Wan.der.love I‘m a tea addict - thanks for sharing, hadn‘t heard of this one ☕️ 6y

This was a compelling read about a teenager whose life all of a sudden seems strangely out of whack to him, and he can‘t figure out why. Great characters and so many great lines. Definitely a book to pick up if you find yourself tired of the same-old same-old.

I thought this book was hilarious. A YA Jeeves and Wooster sort of set-up with a savvy high school junior mentoring a socially awkward freshman. Fun!

This was an addictive, quick YA read that I enjoyed. I was in the mood for this sort of thing-it pulls you in with a mysterious tragedy that is slowly revealed.

This book won a ton of awards- Printz honor book, Newberry honor book, national book award- and for good reason. It‘s so original and well written, with a great cast of characters and an exciting plot. One of the best YA sci-fi books I‘ve read

Frances Hardinge combines impeccable writing with her stunning imagination in this story. It‘s full of adventure and mystery and did I mention the writing? One of my favorite MG books. (Published in the US as The Lost Conspiracy).

This is such a beautiful book, in every possible way. It tackles tough issues, but in such a thoughtful and human way that you can‘t finish this book and not be changed by it.

Chelleo Love this cover! 6y

Such an interesting premise, I was dying to see how it played out, and it played out brilliantly. Very moving and powerful satire with a fascinating main character. Loved it!

Howl‘s Moving Castle is one of my favorites, so I thought I‘d dip into a little more Diana Wynne Jones. This was a quick read and very enjoyable. A nice mix of magic and interesting characters and mystery.
