"The world shall be saved and remade by dreamers."
I will never consider this part of canon. But I still completely love it for transporting me back to Hogwarts and giving me some closure on the characters I know and love.

The Dream Thieves remain my favourite book in this series, but The Raven King is still a worthy conclusion to this epic story. I will love Blue and her Raven boys for a long time yet.
This book is about the stories that repeat themselves, whether it's the bond between soulmates or the larger story of humanity. A clever, beautifully written apocalyptic saga.
This is one of my favourite books of all time. The stories are intricately weaved together in a complex web, with the narrative style being like an endless matryoska. Beautiful, subversive, magical retelling of 1001 nights that focus on ladies & the power of stories. Please check it out!
"Crossing worlds, killing royals, saving cities. The marks of every good courtship."
I SHIP IT.
Somehow accomplishes the task of being unbearably annoying and unbearably dull all at once. He plot was very predictable, and the characters one-dimensional. Not recommended.
Excellent premise with compelling characters, making for a riveting read for the first 20%. Then the plot came to a grinding halt, and the rest of the book was a repetitive slog to get through.
Very compelling and interesting look into both the US meat industry & the definition of an "American family" through a Japanese lens. Well researched, uncomfortable, darkly humorous. I think I'll be staying away from red meat for a while now though ?
"He thinks he'll be remembered as the villain in the story. But I forgot to tell him that the villain is usually the person who locks up the maiden and throws away the key. He was the one who let me out."
This is my favourite book of this year to date. Nao's story contains everything I love: ponderance on time and the universe, realistic human emotions, expert use of the epistolary format, Japan, mystery, and the power of familial love 💕 Read it!
Fangirl just gets me. Although I've been out of university for a long time, I find Cath's story so relatable and nostalgic. There's a lot of warmth and heart in this story. Highly recommended to all 🌸
This book was deeply unsettling. Man experiments on own children by limiting their speech. If you ever wanted to wander into a mind of a sociopath, pick this one up. Along with the psychological aspects, I really enjoyed the pondering on linguistics and how it links to human social interactions.
"But forests, like fairy stories, need to be chaotic - beautiful and savage, useful and wasteful, dangerous and free."
This gives me the urge to go find a forest and get lost ?
I got this out from the library today and excited is an understatement. It pulls together African myths and genetic experiments, featuring a strong and complex heroine. Yessss. Gimme!
This was such a fun little read. Clocks in at just 170 pages, it can easily be finished in one sitting. Features lost children thrown back into reality after their stint in Wonderland. Diverse, magical, and nostalgic.
"To the stars who listen - and the dreams that are answered."
This was so devastating, heartbreaking, yet also beautiful. Filled with paired short stories featuring the lives impacted during the India/Pakistan Partition of 1947, this one will stay with me for a long time.
SHIP OF MAGIC by Robin Hobb is everything a fantasy should be. Richly imagined, filled with complex characters and wondrous mythology. Plus, "shipping" is quite a literal in this world.
WHAT IS NOT YOURS IS NOT YOURS by Helen Oyeyemi.
Beautifully written, with narratives and characters that weaves seamlessly in and out of each story. Also? The Picador edition is freaking gorgeous!
