Worthwhile sequel. Really liked it.
Worthwhile sequel. Really liked it.
Really fun listen. Rosario Dawson does a fantastic job with the narration!
I‘ll be honest, it took me a good few pages to get into this one each time I picked it up. Which I think was mostly down to the Regency era dialogue and mannerisms. But I did really enjoy the book, which is mostly down to the wonderful Prunella. What a Crackin‘ Character!
Definitely should read some more Matt Haig. I enjoyed this one, just as much as The Radleys. Really liked the main character and his story.
Cracking conclusion to what has been a really enjoyable series. Joe Knezevich does a fantastic job narrating.
Black Knight is another great addition to the series, and you can be sure I‘ll eagerly be snatching up the next book in the series, as soon as I can get my hands on it!

Don't know why I waited so long to read this. (8 years!) Audiobook production is top notch too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It's only been on my TBR pile since 2008. I do get to stuff eventually... 😉
Not really heard much about this series, but it keeps appearing in my audible recommendations, and I've enjoyed Luke Daniel's narrations before.
And very enjoyable it was too. Just what I needed on an otherwise crappy day!
I bought the hardback way back on the day of release, but have never managed to get around to reading it. So giving the audiobook a go.
Just as good as I hoped it would be, and the narrator does a fantastic job. 🎧
Wonderful illustrations really do make this short story even more worthwhile.
Well, this audiobook appears to have caught. I think I'll listen to it for a bit. 🎧
Unconventional is a really fun, geeky, read. You'll want to sign up for a convention as soon (or probably during!) as you finish the book. And you'll be rooting for Aiden and Lexi from the start.

What? No. I'm not starting yet another book, when I've apparently got a few dozen on the go already... I don't know what you mean... 😇
Not my favourite in the series, but still fun.
Solid 3.5/5 for me. It both benefits and suffers from its brevity. But it does have some nice prose. If you want to read it, its best that you know little about the story itself. It's a little bit surreal, a little bit metaphor, a little bit Bildungsroman. But that's all you're getting from me.
A quick hot drink and some Rat Queens, before I head up to Bradford Comic Con. #comicsfebruary
This White City is exactly what I like to see in the second book in a series. Building on what came before. Expanding and driving the story forwards, but yet, has its own self-contained story. It also has the kind of cliff-hanger I love. Leaving you desperate to know what happens next; not why did this book stop in the middle of a scene…

As a crossover, this was a lot of fun. Good little story and definitely entertaining. I think it would have been weaker if it was just a Lumberjanes or Gotham Academy volume though. It is the meeting of the two that is the best bit. Do hope there's some more in the future.
Feel like I should be enjoying one of these as I start this one... 😉 🍸
Western inspired things usually are not my go to genre. And it took me a little while to settle in to this mix of western and fantasy properly. But when I did. I loved it. Nettie Lonesome is a fantastic character! Can't wait till Wordery deliver my order of book 2!
I do love Erin Hick's artwork. This one had a great story with lots of energy as well.
Just as much (if not more) fun as the first one. I'd say this one was stronger plot wise as well. Delilah & Selim make for great heroes. If you've not had chance to see one in person. Do so. The artwork is gorgeous! #comicsfebruary book 2
What a fun way to start #comicsfebruary! Loved Delilah's swashbuckling and mischievous nature, and her friendship with Salim.
Loved meeting Petula and the rest of the gang. I've been in a bit of a reading slump since the end of last year, this did a great job of pulling me back out.
Proper review on my blog next week.
My thoughts on this one flipped between wanting it to just be done, already. And seeing myself tearing through the rest of the series. In the end, while I did enjoy it, and liked the gang at The Earl. I don't think I'll continue with more.
What a wonderful book! Moving portrait of grief and friendship. Highly recommended!
Now that's a treat to come home to on such a miserable blustery day! #AllAboutMia by @lisawilliamsonauthor. Many, many thanks to @dfb_storyhouse for sending it!
Many thanks to Bloomsbury for sending me a copy of this one. Winner of the Costa Children's Book Award 2016.
Next audiobook is The White City by Simon Morden. (Sequel to Down Station)
Just as good as the first book. Becky Chambers is clearly amazing at creating characters to care about!
Not quite the magic of the original, but still a lot of fun! 😃 And a great way to kick off my holiday reads! 🎄📚🎅
Been saving this one as a treat. Now time to start! 😀😀
So. Had some time to waste while waiting for the bus, and the Waterstones next door was open...
To be fair, this one has been calling out to me, the few times I've been in.
Need to see the film at some point this week, before still reading this little number!
Picked this one up at the weekend at Thought Bubble. Glad I did, as it was a lot of fun!
