I just finished this, and while thrillers aren't necessarily my typical genre, I enjoyed it overall.
Finally started this ahead of the Hulu show that will be airing soon. Did you guys like it? No spoilers, please! 😉
Do not fall in love with people like me.
I will take you to museums, and parks, and monuments, and kiss you in every beautiful place, so that you can never go back to them without tasting me like blood in your mouth.
I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible. And when I leave you will finally understand, why storms are named after people.
My Baby Yoda book sleeve arrived today, and I love it!!!
When your mom goes to Target and scores these cute bookmarks from the $1 bins, she knows she raised a bookworm!
"I could tolerate any form of cruelty better than kindness. Praise was a poison to me; I choked on it."
Non-readers will never understand the emotional destruction a book can take you through...
Finally getting around to seeing what all the hype is about. :)
“I promise you, no one judges me more harshly than I do myself; I caused a brilliant wreckage. Some say I fell from grace; they're being kind. I didn't fall – I dove.”
#mycurrentread📚 This isn't my typical genre, but after hearing so much talk about it, I had to check it out.

It's been a while since I've read a book that's stayed on my mind long after finishing it, but I believe Eve just changed that... I have so many questions. It was a difficult read, much like The Shack; every chapter challenged what I believed to be true about Creation, about God, and about free will.
He glanced at her and barely smiled. “It seemed the safer road."
"Believe me"-she laughed again-"roads are rarely what they appear to be and are not predictable. Maybe safe is about the company you keep and not about the road you take.”
One of the most underrated trilogies in existence. A PHENOMENAL read!!!

ON FALLING IN LOVE: "In your heart, in your bones no matter how silly you know it is, you feel that everything has been leading to this, all the secret arrows were pointing here, the universe and time itself crafted this long ago, and you are just now realizing it, you are just now arriving at the place you were always meant to be."

THIS DICTION HAS ME SPELLBOUND...
"I see grief every day here on Queen Street. I see it in the dark undereyes of the girl who dusts the ceilings at Huggins Dime Store, the girl who, seven months gone, climbed into the woods of Mt. Sterling to push out her stillborn baby girl, begotten of the frog-eyed, otherwise-married lawyer old enough to be her own father.[...] I see it, but the adults all around me say grief is a thing unknown to children."
