The Great Gatsby | Francis Scott Fitzgerald
Pickpick

I was forced to read this book my junior year of high school, but I've never been able to forget the book since. It is my absolute favorite book and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good read filled with symbolism and metaphor. I could rave about this book for days so if you haven't already read it than put it on your to-do list! You won't regret it!

There is great humor in this book!

Red Queen | Victoria Aveyard

This world that Aveyard created is amazing. I found myself transported to a mythical land that I could picture and feel. The concept is amazing.

Pickpick

This book is very grotesque and graphic. I don't recommend it for the faint of heart. I do, however, think it is a good read if you can stomach it. Very intense, but tells a great story!

The Book Thief | Markus Zusak

I loved Markus Zusak's writing style. He carried me through the story with his choice of metaphors and descriptive words. We have no way of knowing what it was like during the Holocaust, but Zusak helps you picture it by choosing the right language. Excellent read!
