Really slow pacing, pretty lame ending, would make a decent Lifetime Original movie, tho.

I read a lot of dark lit, and that can get heavy after awhile. During times like these, I like to turn to "Slice of Life" YA books like Emergency Contact as a palate cleanser. This book definitely did the trick (while it covers it's fair share of heavy subjects), and I enjoyed the characters and the pacing.
Really disappointed in this one. If you're looking for closure after #You, you won't find it here. The titular "hidden bodies" are an after thought to the point where the book should instead be called "Joe goes to LA, drinks kale smoothies, & obsesses over bjs". It had none of the thrill You had & abandons its already established, interesting plot & storyline for one that is much more contrived. And don't get me started on "Love and Forty".
Normally I can't read a book after I've already seen the movie/show it's based on, but I made an exception for You and binged through it faster than the #Netflix show. Now I'm off to pour through #HiddenBodies.

Any #manga readers in these parts?
XxxHolic has been one of my favorites to come back to when I want to live vicariously through a self-indulgent, all-knowing badass witch. It's definitely a must-read for occult fans!
Finished the #audiobook in about 3 sittings, couldn't put it down over the weekend. I'm still having a hard time deciding how I feel about the ending - I have a lot of mixed feelings over the characters! That said, even though I'm usually good at figuring out who the ~real~ killer is in these types of books, this one definitely threw me for a loop!
I've been in a murder mystery kick and Into the Water did not disappoint. I'm not sure if I liked it as much as Girl on the Train, but I was still a good read and I couldn't put it down.
It's officially Gaiman season!
