This title is a gripping read and very well written. However the story becomes a little preposterous and unlikely. Ultimately it was a dissatisfying story but a joy to read in the descriptions of people and emotions.

TrishB Felt the same. Initially good but then became really silly. 6y

Pickpick

For those wanting garden inspiration, this is an amazing book. It says Australian in the title but so many of the plants are from around the world. Fantastic pictures and such incredible gardens. Love it.

I enjoyed it but probably spoiled it by seeing the movie first. The movie is fairly close to the book, so not great surprises there. However, I preferred the ending in the book as it seemed more realistic to me. I think if you haven‘t seen the movie, read the book first! Hornby writes of men behaving badly quite well 😀
