I have an irrational fear of running out of reading material so I purchase more books than I can read. Ⓥ

Haven‘t had time to read any books that I pick. But, this required college textbook is pretty fascinating. Choose a major you love and there is never a boring moment. 😍

No time for fun reading- it‘s school work galore. However, ‘Why I Am Not a Christian‘ by Bertrand Russell was fun to read in my philosophy course. 10/10 would recommend to people with an opened minded personality.

I honestly love the twisted tales. Most disney fans reject the idea because it‘s, “not true to the tale.” but it‘s not supposed to be and that‘s what makes it so wonderful. I would definitely recommend all of them. especially reflection; there may be bias in that because I absolutely love mulan but that‘s okay.

robinb Welcome to Litsy! 😊 6y
vkois88 It's really funny to me that people get up in arms about that, when the tales themselves aren't even the true story. They almost always have dark twists in the originals 😂😂 If I don't like the Twisted Tales books, it's generally just because of the way they are written or some other reason. Anyway... welcome to our #LitsyFamily! I hope you are enjoying it ❤ 6y

This is what won‘t fit on my bookshelves. 😢 But, it‘s a sacrifice I‘m willing to make for my box sets. 🤪

Educated: A Memoir | Tara Westover
post image

Before work, I read the NYT Book Review portion. One of the many books mentioned was in the paper was Ms. Westover‘s book ‘Educated‘. I now, obviously, MUST HAVE. The paper mentioned how the book was a recycled tale about an unfortunate soul coming up from nothing and then proceeding to “make it.” However, comparatively, this story allegedly takes it to a new extreme. And I really want to be a part of it.

ReadingSusan I haven‘t stopped thinking about that book since I read it. I found it so fascinating and very moving. It‘s my #1 book of the year so far. 6y

Despite the title, this is not a book to demean any particular race. It is merely an excellent informant providing the ignorant with the knowledge of hidden histories. In both British and American education systems, we lack the truth. We have hidden parts of history we are most ashamed of that are vital to the individual for the very reason we learn most history- to avoid repeating it. I absolutely adore this book and the woman behind it. TY. ❤️

I love this book. Collections of short stories by an intelligent and creative young woman. Also, super funny! Read this while on my trip to DC for the MFOL and I couldn‘t put it down.

So I purchased “From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker by George Lucas”. In later years, it was republished under the title Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope to reflect the retroactive addition of episodic subtitles to the theatrical film titles. I‘m about to start reading this title. I‘m so excited and have been waiting for this 1976 collectors edition for months.
