Woman No. 17 | Edan Lepucki

Very much set up as a suspense novel, I kept waiting for some big mystery to emerge. That didn't happen. I also kept hoping I'd start to like at least one character too...that didnt happen either. I just felt kind of blah after reading this.

Megabooks Oh yeah, definitely not suspense. 7y

Since We Fell | Dennis Lehane

Felt like this was two separate books put together...the first half could have been something separate from the second half, easily. I guess it did lend some insight into the main character's personality, otherwise, not sure it did much else for me. Just an ok read.

Jess7 This is on my #TBR list. The audio book became available yesterday from my library. 8y

It took a little while to get into and to keep the different characters straight, but once I was, I was hooked. Definitely was not expecting the twist at the very end. Good read

Ehhh...it was ok. Kind of a YA take on the Casey Anthony style story. A lot of build up for a quick ending too. It was just...ok.

It may be safe to say I was shocked by what an incredible life Sagal has led. Profoundly sad at points, yet with a heart warming quality to see where she has landed. So much, much more than Mrs. Bundy.

Aaron Falk is back in his hometown for the funeral of his childhood best friend, who died in an apparent murder suicide, killing his wife and young son before turning the gun on himself. There is just enough odd about the crime to entice the local cop to dig deeper, convincing Falk to stay in town and help investigate.
I really enjoy Harper's writing style. I'm exciting to see this is going to become a series, looking forward to book 2!

Very moving, emotional book. While a horrible subject, Connors provided a lot of interesting research. I commend her for using this research as a way to finally start to heal. Highly recommend.

Started reading this book a couple nights ago, wasn't sure what to expect...now, I just want to call in sick to work so I can keep reading and reading... It's not easy to make a difficult subject readable, but Connors has done an excellent job with her story.

True crime book about Jeffrey Epstein and the child exploitation and sexual assualt charges against him. Writing aside, I rated this highly because of the amount of detail in the book, including legal documents and interviews. It's sickening what the extremely wealthy can get away with; sadly we need books like these to expose it. Definitely need a strong stomach to read.

I'm not great at giving book summaries, but here goes...Jessica Daniels is a detective sergeant in Great Britian investigating a series of murders where the victim is found locked inside their homes and no obvious point of entry or exit from the killer. Daniels is baffled and frustrated...the course of the investigation also leads her to realize new things about herself and her mentors. Overall, pretty good read, looking forward to the next book

British read, titled Locked In there, The Killer Inside here. I'm reading this one on my kindle...I usually have one going on my kindle while a reading a hard back at home. Makes it easier to always have a book in some form with me at all times! Lol. 29% in, pretty decent read.
