pickI had a lot of opinions about this book. Wildly sexist, sometimes racist, but very engaging. I enjoyed the second half of the book more.
Ok, Gandalf, I guess you make a valid point
Eowyn deserves better than Aragorn or Faramir. She deserved to be allowed to slay her enemy, travel with Aragorn wherever she damn well pleased, and died in glory if she wanted to. Now Faramir suggests that she only wanted to die in battle because Aragorn rejected her. BARF.

This is the edition I'm reading, this nice set from 1981, my birth year and the same set my mother owns
pickI always enjoy this book whenever I read it. Reading it in this day and age brought out its definite boomer aspects in an interesting way.
