Pickpick

In the end, all we may become is a muddy pile of memories, that even though parts of our lives shift and change dramatically, we may never realize it at all. Closure, without knowing it's closure. A good use of parallel mysteries to frame the protagonist's descent into dementia.

Pickpick

got to the end of this (longish) book very quickly. too quickly. i kept thinking "is he SERIOUSLY going with this trope??? really stephen king, r e a l l y?" but ended up crying as i read and reread the last few passages. well played, stephen king.

readsinthegym I started watching the show on Hulu so I'm dying to pick this one up now. 8y
PennyNotSoDreadful I started this a while back but got annoyed & set aside for something better. So you think it's worth it to finish, huh? 8y
Lova Anyone else read it first and then watch that first episode confused at where it was going? 8y

AlissaT310 I read the book over the summer and when I got to the end I actually kept reading past the end thinking there had to be more. I felt like I was missing something. It was good but I felt like I needed more. 8y
honeyybun This is still on my list to read! Hopefully it's a good one 8y
shelves sometimes it felt like he was trying to make something bigger out of nothing. but then sometimes, you just wanna destress to a relatively easy book, yknow? 8y
shelves i agree! but then stephen king hardly ever explains jackshit about his plots. i was hoping to get more of the time travel mechanisms down but eh... i'll take what he offers. 8y
korkor14 My favourite King novel I've read. Couldn't put it down! 8y
AlissaT310 Right?? I liked the theory behind this time travel but I needed more. It just wasn't enough for me I guess 8y
AdiTurbo Didn't enjoy it. 8y
Macnjen I've read lots of SK and this was good but not his best. 8y
