The minute you begin reading you wonder who Ren is talking to because no one is there.

You then realize she is talking to her dead sister Margo - well Margo is talking to her telling her what to do.

WHISPERS FROM DEAD GIRLS is suspenseful and a bit creepy.

Thriller fans will enjoy this one. 4/5

From Vaudeville to nursing school and then back again.

Most of the book was about the dance marathons and prohibition.  I loved learning about the silver showers at the marathons and was a bit shocked how the dancers had to dance with only short breaks and no sleep.

We meet Freya in 1930 in Berlin as she struggles to survive and as Hitler starts to get his power.

Then we meet Maddie in 2024, the great granddaughter of Freya, when she returns home to Los Angeles after an awful incident at work.

While helping her grandfather throw out things, Maddie finds a diary that her grandmother had written. What an incredible find!!

Nova Davies started a book club so she could impress her fellow workers.

Nova held her breath every month wondering if anybody would show up.

Another sweet, heartwarming read by Freya Sampson with an odd, but lovable cast of characters who try to solve the mystery of money that goes missing at the community center and also a murder. 5/5
