"Wider ranges of normal make the world a better place for everyone" - Laurie Frankel
I didn't enjoy this book as much as I had hoped I would. I didn't particularly like the main character for the majority of the book as I felt she was rather self-absorbed. The ending was rather predictable and wrap things up nicely and it was a easy read.
"The spectrum is long and wide, and we're all on it. Once you believe this, it becomes easier to see how we're all connected"
Could somebody recommend a good starter book from the Sci-Fi / fantasy genre? I don't typically read from this genre but I would like to get into it and I don't know where to start from.
Thanks in advance
What an incredible story! His words are so beautiful and the fact that he wrote it while he faced his own mortality is remarkable. Sorrowful and yet unimaginably courageous to be at peace with an altered future right until the very end.
This is something I've wanted to do for quite some time and I finally put it out today. I checked it periodically and was happy to discover that somebody had dropped off some books. I hope it adds to the great neighborhood we live in.

This is an excellent book about confronting the past even if it makes you uncomfortable and doing what is right in order to move on. I admire his fortitude in seeing this task through despite the opposition he faced. It is the right step towards reconciliation.
"Once you've seen how broken someone is it's like seeing them naked - you can't look at them the same anymore"
I was on board until the end. It fell flat which was dissapointing as the rest of the book written well
This is the second book that I have bailed on by this author which is pretty disappointing. I don't get a lot of enjoyment out stories of young people trying to make it in New York. I was a devout fan of Sex in the City and these books feel like a replica of that storyline, from the clubs that they frequent and the restaurants they dine in, right down to the Birkin bag "it's a lifestyle not just a purse" speech.
A seniors centre close to my house puts on a book sale twice a year and this is what I picked up yesterday...normally I take home way more but the selection was limited.
Starting a new one. A friend of mine gave this to me...I hope its good
I thought this book was okay, a wee bit too violent for me. I read it quickly as it kept me engaged but it was a difficult one to get through.
I enjoyed this one. I wasn't sure how I felt about the characters at first but many grew on me and were redeemed by the end. I didn't feel that the family was overly dysfunctional but rather normal (or relatable).
Wow! I had a hard time putting this book down...which I only did to sleep. Great book! Suspenseful, thrilling and terrifying.
I had high hopes for this book because I really enjoyed Gone Girl. Unfortunately I was disappointed , although I read it quickly it just didn't do it for me.
This is the second book I've read by Jennifer Weiner and I enjoyed this book as much as the last one. I like how she alternated the chapters between mother and daughter were you get a real sense of emotions and connection.
I have to admit I watch the movie first which I enjoyed a little bit more than the book. I found the book a little dry although the story is incredible and worth a read or a watch
This book is excellent! Not only is it entertainingly funny but educational as well. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
The book opens your eyes to the way we raise children in the age of social media and the very private struggles of a young woman whose instagram feed reflects the opposite.
