@_@ ohmygod the ending *stares at the book* it's thrown me for a loop! Totally wasn't expecting it. 😂
Let me just say, it's been a long time since I was so absorbed in a book. I really loved the changing POVS, it offered so many fascinating perspectives! Though sometimes I got tired of the flashbacks :')

Great ending. Charlie's such a special character to be in the mind of, it was fascinating reading his insights.
It is a pretty light read though the subjects it provokes are heavy. Love this book, the journey felt 'infinite'! ❤

Shocking. :'( I didn't think that a child could ever suffer like this. It was heartening to watch Pelzer overcome all the pain, though. And I'm glad for the happy ending. 😊
A book like this shouldn't be banned! This way we learn from our mistakes! #bannedbooksweek #mdlibrary

I'm glad our library copy was restored-- it was falling apart from its popularity 😂
To those thinking of trying this out, don't delay. It's a Good Read. Melinda's voice was something I was very glad to listen to.

Counting Stars | David Almond

Good for fans of Almond, as this dives into the background roots of his writing. Counting Stars is a collection of short stories about, and for, his family. Funniest part for me had to be that moment when the priest announced that counting beyond a 100 stars is a sin 😂😂 #somethingforsept #shortstories

Charming account of country life 😂 Of course, because it's Bernières, I carried on reading. Light read!

We're so lucky to have this beautiful hardcover in the library :3 This is the one I'll miss most *hugs*

It's an interesting tale about the friendships we make in life, and of course, it being Murakami, the metaphysical comes in play. It became a bit of a 'whodunit' mystery too. Absolutely loved the reunion at the end between Colourless and Black!
Definite pick for me :D 5/5 if you will

Library copy! I thought I'd review some books since it's the last day of college.

Anyway: It was eye - opening. I could totally relate to both Gemma and Michael...it's a thrilling tale about truth and the way we protect ourselves, sometimes by bullying. Light reading, but impactful. I'd say it's great for mature readers too :3

So I finished the pdf in one sitting, and thoroughly enjoyed myself (sounds like the nostalgia talking...). I was honestly riveted, especially engaged in the emotional interactions between old and new characters.
Overall: Spellbinding! Makes for a (fairly) fast read :')

I Am Anjuhimeko by Hiromi Itou (no drawn out o so -ou will have to do)-- beautiful!
"That's right, they dig me up and here I am, I'm not dead, I haven't dried up, I just warmed myself in the sand, a growing, laughing, living body, mother stuck a stalk in the hole in my ear to mark me, morning and night I would suck the dew through the tiny, tiny, tiny hole, and here I am, a growing, laughing, living body, that is what I am, that is who I am!"

MrBook Nice passage! And welcome to @Litsy ! We hope you enjoy your stay, I think you'll like it here 😎👍🏻. 8y
