Enjoyed this one more than I thought I would. Rachel Grossman was definitely my favourite character. She was incredibly likeable but there was a real sense of sadness and regret when she told her story.
Also, I love the cover!

BookMaven407 I just purchased this book earlier this week. 👍 6y

A part of me longs for a more definitive ending, but I mostly relish Atwood's genius!

Lost a ridiculous amount of sleep because I couldn't put this book down. I'm not the biggest fan of stories told from multiple perspectives, but I really enjoyed that aspect of this book. It allowed for some great character development, and didn't complicate things at all.

I didn't see the big twist in the end coming, but let's just say I was very suspicious of one of the characters and had good reason to be!

I adored every inch of every page of this book! It deals with such important issues in a really realistic, touching and fearless way. The characters felt so real to me and I really cared for them, so much so that the book made cry( which is no easy task 😂). I recommend this book to literally everyone!

Was asked today what the most difficult book I've ever read is, and this is it. I so desperately wanted to like this, as both a book lover and a Jamaican. Marlon James' writing is striking and unapologetic but there was just too much going on for me, and reading began to feel like a chore. Hopefully I'll tackle it again one day, and enjoy it.

I literally cannot put this book down!! The essays are so relatable and validating, yet enlightening as well.

My current read. I've heard great things, let's see if it lives up to the hype!

Donnasmiles Well, what did you think? I'm 100 pages in and enjoying but reading some really mixed reviews. 7y
ttrachelx @Donnasmiles I haven't finished it because I got distracted by other books 😂 But I liked what I've read so far, I think Evie is a well written and thought out character. But I get why some people take issue with the writing style, it does feel like Cline over does it at times. 7y
