Marathon Man: A Novel | 
Just back from a visit to the dentist for a replacement filling. It wasn't quite Marathon Man level, but more than I'd bargained for and I was a bit longer than expected in the dentist's chair. Fortunately my dentist, Rebecca, is not the White Angel, and it was safe! Now I'm waiting for the anaesthetic to wear off so that I can eat some breakfast.

Bookwomble @bibliothecarivs The whole cast in this film put in magnificent performances; Olivier was nominated for an Oscar. You should try to see it 😊 The book is fab, too. 2y
Bookwomble @Graywacke No! I not an antidentite, so I don't mind going, but fun it ain't! Feeling slightly mauled now the anaesthetic has worn off, but I imagine my remaining pegs will settle down soon 😁 2y
The_Book_Ninja Every time I go to The Prince Charles Cinema, I write Marathon Man on the request chalk board. I‘ve seen this film more times than any other but never on the big screen. It‘s in my top 4 on my Letterboxd 2y
Bookwomble @The_Book_Ninja Maybe one day they'll show it for you🏃♂️📽️ You know what would make a good double bill with MM? The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3. Another good ensemble cast. Roy Scheider in one, Robert Shaw in the other, so I guess you could make it a triple and put Jaws on, too 😄 2y
