Welcome to Litsy!

This is a book of different fairy tales told in modern English, & a couple were similar tales from slightly different regions combined. Some I knew but many I didn‘t as they were specific to only from England. It took me a little bit to get used to the fact that the language was more modern compared to what I am used to in this genre. That said the illustrations by Arthur Rackham are of course stunning.

The last prompt of #magicalmonday is #magicalshortstory and I chose these lovely retellings of fairy and folk tales. I already used these for yesterday's #photoadaynov16 but they are so beautifully written and illustrated that I feel they deserve more attention. Throughout the day I will post quotes allong with the beautiful illustrations found in these books to make this the most magical of mondays 😊🎇
