❤️❤️❤️ Honestly a great life lesson.
And the final volume in this amazing collection has the Skeezers castle which was magically submerged to the bottom of the lake in the second story in this book. This contains the last stories which are: The Magic Of Oz, Glinda Of Oz & finally, The Royal Book Of Oz. I can‘t wait to dive back into these stories with my granddaughter! #wehearheisawizofawiz #ifeverawiztherewas #taketheozexperienceyourself
This beautiful volume has all the usual suspects on it, including the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow & the TinMan Of Oz, marching through the desert with an army of Toy Soldiers. This volume contains Rinkitink Of Oz, The Lost Princess Of Oz & The Tin Woodsman Of Oz. #ifionlyhadaheart #followthelion
Volume3 Of The Collection has what looks like the Nome King with all his treasures on the cover. Another totally gorgeous cover, this volume contains The Patchwork Girl Of Oz, Tik-Tok Of Oz (another favourite story) & The Scarecrow Of Oz. #ozmaismyhomie #ifionlyhadabrain
This beauty is Volume2 of the hardcover Oz Collection, with the Emerald City & the yellow brick road prominently portrayed. It‘s absolutely gorgeous! This volume contains Dorothy And The Wizard Of Oz, The Road To Oz & The Emerald City Of Oz. #Wenotinkansasanymore #dingdongthewitchisdead
The cover of Volume1 of this hardcover box set of the Oz books by L.Frank.Baum is stunning! The colours in the hot air balloon are even more striking in person. I love how they‘ve taken inspiration from the “Wizards” escape & also have the elements of the yellow brick road with the Emerald City in the distance. This volume contains The Wizard Of Oz, The Marvelous Land Of Oz & Ozma Of Oz(which is one of my favourites) #followtheyellowbrickroad
#BookMail Pt3 And The last item in the box is this beautiful hardcover box set of all the Oz books. I‘ll be posting individual pictures of each book, they are gorgeous! I‘ve wanted my own set of Oz books since I was 7yrs old which makes it 40yrs of yearning. I bought these so my grand baby Sophie can read them & fall in love just like I did(but she‘ll be reading them here coz they ain‘t leaving the house!)👨🌾🤖🦁👸🏼👱🏻♀️🐶❤️🧠✊
In 2014 when we were expecting our first son I decided I wanted to revisit the Oz books which I had loved as much as Narnia and Middle-earth as a kid.
I was surprised at how many scenes and characters I remembered but what used to be exciting adventures to 2nd-3rd grade me were now just goofy low-stakes fun.
I love Oz now for it‘s make-it-up-as-you-go weirdness, although this style made for some lousy endings. Deus ex Dorothy indeed.
