The New York Times bestselling author of A Gala Event returns with newlyweds Meg and Seth Chapin who should be worried about writing thank you notes, not taking a juicy bite out of crime... With the bushels of time they spent organizing their wedding, Meg and Seth didn’t have a chance to plan a honeymoon. But now that winter has arrived, there’s not much to do at the orchard. So with their shared love of history and all things apple, they pick Thomas Jefferson’s orchards at Monticello as the perfect getaway. While they enjoy the beautiful sights, there’s a rotten addition to the agenda when Meg’s parents discover their handyman dead in the backyard. With a bitter police chief eyeing Meg’s father as a suspect, Meg and Seth have to cut their honeymoon short to find the root of the problem. Includes Delicious Recipes

Baby‘s abed. Husband and Girl #1 are out at a block party in the city. I have about an hour of #litsypartyofone to my own hot self. Took baby to the bookstore to keep her up past her bedtime and got myself these chocolate frogs as a treat — wonder which witches or wizards I‘ll get?

Starting this book after giving up on the first in a series dedicated to murders on an olive farm in Georgia. Turns out, if you‘re highly allergic to something, a book about it is less than intriguing. What do Littens allergic to something more ubiquitous than olives, such as cats, think about the prevalence of cats in murder mysteries? Is it hard to sympathize with cat-loving protagonists? 🤔 #cozymysteries

drokka I stayed away from cat themed cozies for a long time, but then I just gave in. Cats show up a lot in non-cat themed ones too 😂 Now I don't let theme guide me, I even read Christmas themed one. Although, I've not read any Amish themed ones. I should look into that. 6y
mrsmarch @drokka I came across a Quaker midwife mystery! I really want to give it a try! 6y
drokka Ooooh that does sound interesting! 6y

Mehso-so

I like this series, but this one was a little slow.
