Today involved a way-too-early meeting without any breakfast munchies, so I may have splurged a bit on comics and clothes because I don't love the idea of being on the bus for an extra 2 hours. I don't know how I missed the first run of Zodiac Starforce, but I'm gonna fix that asap--the colors and art are ❤❤❤. And Princeless is always an adventure and I'm stoked to follow Raven on her adventures! #comics
pickOh this is fun! I‘m jumping in a little in the middle here, but I have all the others on hold, so oh well.
The first volume- in which Raven assembles an all-girl pirate crew. There‘s lots of ass-kicking and humor. I‘m completely charmed.

panNot worth the money honestly. The art is mediocre and at times inconsistent. The coloring is mostly in shades of red, which really washed out the characters at times. The story is sloppy and promised comedy and action but didn't follow through. The comedy fell flat and the action was boring. Also all the heavy handed comments and man bashing made me sick. If you're into third wave feminism you'll enjoy it. If not, seriously skip it.

pickLove, love, love this! Strong female characters fighting sexism and injustice, heading out on a mission of vengeance. Loved the scenes where Raven was interviewing the men to be her crew & the scenes where Sunshine was gaming with Katie's group. I can't wait to read the next book!
Whoa...I know I rarely read brand new books, but I don't think I read *ANY* true debuts in 2016! This is the closest I could get...the debut of an offshoot of the Priceless series, but it is SO GOOD. Everything about it. I might even like it better than the regular Princeless series at this point. #bestdebutsof2016 #FeistyFeb
pickPhenomenal. Applause all around. Women-centric, feminist, racially diverse, eastern Asian main character, and I have a very strong suspicion that it is going to get very very queer soon. The best spinoff I've ever read.

pickPrinceless is one of my favorite series. Raven's spin off is just as good. Can't want to read what happens next. Also, I loved Kelly Sue DeConnick, G. Willow Wilson and Marjorie Liu's cameo. Deconnick and Wilson are the writers that got me into comics.

pickCatching up with comics today and I love the Princeless comics. The Raven pirate series is a kickass, funny adventure with girls out for revenge with their own pirate ship and saving themselves. So basically awesome!
